History paper topic: How immagrints help the ecomeny

January 30th 2017

People have benn imagrating to diffrent countries for centries. People imagrate
because they seek, eceanocic oppertunity, religous freedom, heath problems, or they
may no longer feel safe in their country. It honelsty blows my mind how in 2017 our
country, the United States of America is denying imagrints. Imagration first started in
America durring the Colonia Era History.com states ,"From its earliest days, America has
been a nation of immigrants, starting with its original inhabitants, who crossed the land
bridge connecting Asia and North America tens of thousands of years ago. By the 1500s,
the first Europeans, led by the Spanish and French, had begun establishing settlements
in what would become the United States. In 1607, the English founded their first
permanent settlement in present-day America at Jamestown in the Virginia Colony"
(History.com/2009). Some of Americas first settlers came in search of freedom to
practice their Religon. In 1620, the Pilgrims fled religious hostility in Europe. They were
beaten and judged just on their religon's point of view. They arrived at Massachusetts,
where they established a colony. Another massive immagration time in our Country was
in the 19th centery durring the gold rush. The discovery of gold at Sutters Mill in
California immigrants rushed to America seeking their fortunes. This historic event had
the largest mass migration in America. Mnay of Immagrants came from their Country to
California to contrubuate to the gold rush. These Immagrants searche for hours a day for
gold; mining had always been difficult and dangerous labor, and striking it rich required
good luck as much as skill and hard work. American men wanted the gold all to
themselvs Imagreants were hated, beatings and vilonce torwds immagrants became
commonplace.

Immagration is not anything new in History and people are still racest and vilonent tords
Immagints. Immagrants today helps our ecomeny, the defenation of ecomeny is
production and consumption of goods and services. With more people in our country
more people will buy goods and services. When people buy theses goods and services it
creats more jobs and gives our country more of an ecenomic stable. When immagrints
come to this new country they need to buy food, rent an apartment, and spend money
in their local economies in order to survive. They go to stores, markets, and they do
events like a normal American would spend their money. When immagrants come to
America they somethimes bring their bussiness if they have one. When some one has a
business that creats many jobs, for American workers. Immigration also shapes how the
world views America. If we were to never let another immagrint in, can you imagine how
other countries would look at us? America would be al lauging stock, we would be
known for our hateful views, and non-diverse ways. There are many diffrent calutrs
walking all us around in America. From Muslims, Hindos, Mexicans, Chinese America is
known as the "melting pot". The "melting pot" is a metaphor for a society where many
different types of people blend together in a comuinty as one. Some countries are made
of people who all share the same religon, terms of race and culture.

With all of these posative effects how can some people be so raceist and non
welcomeing to immagrints. Some people believe that Imagrints take up a lot of the
American's work force. They think that Imagrints are offered jobs first. But what they
don't know is when an immagrnt comes her illegal they do not get a good job, they get
jobs that a person with out an education would get like a janitor or a convinent store
worker. Even immagrnts with degrees have truble finding work Acording to Dembicki,
"Immigrants with professional degrees who cannot work in their fields. For some
immigrants, its because institutions dont recognize degrees from their countries,
making it difficult to earn a license or certification to work here. For others, there is a
language barrier. And some immigrants simply cant work through the procedural maze
to get their degrees or credits approved" (Dembicki/2009). When Immagrants come to
America they don't just given handed work, money and a house they have to find work
and work for all of those oppurtunites.

In conclusion I believe that Imagration helps the American ecomeny thrive and even
creat jobs for American workers. Imagrints do not have the life of prvlage many of them
were mistreated in their country and they come here to be racial profiled and still have it
hard. Americans should be thankful to have more people buying from their businsess,
and creating a diverse world. Imagrints have been helping the American ecomeny for a
very long time. In 1890, President Benjamin Harrison designated Ellis Island, located in
New York Harbor near the Statue of Liberty, as a federal immigration station. This
created jobs in the machanal indursry jobs for people to fix and fual the boats. For the
United States to end Imagration would go against everything this country believes in,
and would kill the ecomeny.
