MONDAY 24TH APRIL

Dear diary,

I began planning my final production today, I decided to reflect on my previous work over the past 2
years to decide which style of production I would do, I chose music video as it was the most
enjoyable and I received a good grade for it.

I then began to listen to music on old playlists to get inspiration, this lead me to the song Faded by
Allan Walker as the song provokes the right emotions, which I think I could work with. The song also
changes pace throughout the song, which gives me more freedom to try different ideas within the
song.

After discussing my immediate idea with Niamh and Darcey, they suggested I looked at the song
Wings by Birdy, as the lyrics relate to my idea and the whole idea of the song worked with my idea.

TEUSDAY 25TH APRIL

Dear diary,

Today I began to write up my booklet; I started by creating two mind maps to show my ideas for
both music videos. I then began to evaluate and analyse the ideas. I then created a brief and then
rewrote it.

WEDNESDAY 26TH APRIL

Dear diary,

I designed and sent off a survey of both ideas to people to find out which on they think is best.

I then went to work.

THURSDAY 27TH APRIL

Dear diary,

Today I filmed by focus groups as well as created a mood board for my chosen idea to place all my
ideas in one image, this I think will help me to picture the end product which in turn will help me
with preproduction.

FRIDAY 28TH APRIL

Dear diary,

Today I uploaded my focus group onto YouTube as well as taking photos to show my mock up.

Today I had work so I didnt do any work

Today I went to work and then facetimed with Cherry can finished my market research.

MONDAY 1ST MAY

Dear dairy,

Today I had my first shift at greys court so could not do any work.

TEUSDAY 2ND MAY

Dear diary,

Today I created and filled in my schedule for the final unit. A schedule is vital to keeping the
workload manageable; this reduces stress, which will prevent me from making mistakes. It also
keeps the crew working in sync so that everyone knows what they are doing on each day, for
example, Scarlett knows that I need her help with costumes before the actual filming date.

WEDNESDAY 3RD MAY

Dear diary,

Today I made a location recce and a hazard list for my location this allows me to identify possible
problems I may face whilst filming as well as a better understanding of the location and how I can
use the location to better my production.

THURSDAY 4TH MAY

Dear dairy,

I began the day working on Chriss work, I then began to work on my audience figures, as this is the
last task on the research and ideas segment of the task. I then completed my back up plan for if
something went wrong. I did this because I believe it is imperative to have a backup plan just in case
something goes wrong and you have to reschedule or use understudies.

Today I went over my preproduction and made the improvements needed to complete this task.

Today I began work on my pitch, I started by creating a proposal.

Today I finished off my proposal and began to create a power point of what each part of my pitch
will look like.

Dear diary,

Today I bought 3 mount boards and created my slides for my pitch, then went to my location of
filming and filmed my rehearsal and my pitch, I then went back to college and edited both and
uploaded them.

Today I went prop shopping with the cast to find all the props I will be needing.

Today I rehearsed and made notes for my pitch.

TEUSDAY 16TH MAY

Dear diary,

Today I performed my pitch as well as thought up ideas for the detail in the production, this included
instead of using picture frames I would use printed out images attached to string and wrapped
around trees to create a memory like look to the video. My aim for this idea is to create a more
personal limbo for the main character. I also thought I would incorporate elements from previous
production in, for example, I plan to use the glass whale from my music video with in my final
project and the toys from the 5-minute drama.

Today I organised prop and costume shopping with the cast.

Dear diary,

On these days I did nothing towards my production expect for discussing and planning the
production with the cast.

WEDNESDAY 31ST MAY

Dear diary,
Today I started filming my video, the cast all arrived at my house at 3:30, we then spent 20 minutes
getting ready with hair and make up, and then spent 20 minutes having a meeting where I lead all
the cast through the idea one last time before filming, making sure everyone understood the idea
and new where to be.

THURSDAY 1ST JUNE

Dear diary,

Today is the second day of filming, as I was able to film most of the production on the first day I did
not call in most of the cast as they were not needed, this was because I planned filming to film the
scenes which needed all the cast for the day before so that I would not need to call in many of the
actors.

FRIDAY 2ND JUNE

Dear dairy,

Today I went down to the gallery and met Keri, she is an artist who was showing her work in the
gallery. After discussing my work and what I was doing there she offered me to use her projector to
showcase the adverts.

On these days I organised the clips from the production into folders.

Today I began editing my music video. Focused on getting the intro done.

Todays focus was to colour correct and make any improvements I think is needed, after showing my
FMP to my peers.
