Climate Change/Global Warming

Climate Change is a real issue that needs to be addressed and people should be

aware of what is happening in the world. Most of the problem since the late 20th century

has been caused by human activity on earth. The numbers have been sky rocketing at an

abnormal rate, almost too fast to control. The only way is if we change what were doing

in our daily lives.

Since about the late 19th century, the Global average temperature has increased

by about 1.1 degrees Celsius. Last year we had a record year for the highest

temperatures. Our sea levels are rising, the oceans are getting warmer and we are

experiencing more severe weather

conditions lately. This is all due to our

human activity and people are reluctant

and dont believe in climate change.

Scientists have confirmed that the main

cause of climate change is due to all the

here. Some gases that contribute to the greenhouse effect include Methane, Nitrous

Oxide, Carbon Dioxide and Water Vapor. These gases are from us humans polluting our

earth with many different things, whether it is car emission or garbage. We need to

address these issues and find a solution for this global problem.

We cant completely fix this issue but once it is addressed we can try to control it.

Some solutions that would be helpful include Mitigation and Adaptation. Since we

already have a lot of pollutants trapped in our atmosphere we can try to adapt to them.

That involves adjusting to future climate change and being prepared for the weather to

come. Mitigation is also a good option; it involves reducing the human interference on

our earth. We can either do that by reducing the sources of the gases like burning fossil

fuels or we can enhance the sinks the gather and store all that gas. Also in a lot of

places weve begun to go green and try to save on the energy we are using by using stuff

like solar panels. I know if we continue to use these initiatives we can try to solve this

problem.
