Job Description
Plan and carry out inspection by non-destructive means on existing stationary
equipment and associated piping/strucb.Jres, including any modifications or
additions that may be done from time to time.
Compile written reports of the results of inspection findings and make
appropriate recommendations for maintenance/repair works strictly in
accordance with good engineering practice as guided by the appropriate
International and Shell Group Engineering Standards
Provide method of repair If required on pressure retaining equipment and follow-
up to ascertain that field fabrications and installations are in accordance with
accepted codes, standards and specifications
Provide inspection technical assurance for development and execution of
projects for static assets (column, vessel, tank, heat exchanger, reactor,
furnace, piping, plpellne etc).
Develop and execute QA/QC framework for relevant project activities, lncludlng
but not limited to attending kick off I Pre Inspection Meetings, vendor
qualification assessment and audits, review of drawings&. QNQC documents,
attending shop inspection activities, and site installation.
Act as NDT focal point for all NDT matters pertaining to, but not llmlted to NDT
techniques, Interpretation of codes, standards, and specifications related to
acceptance criteria and Inspection requirements Codes and Recommended
Practices
Develop and manage site NDT (Non Destructive Test) programs, including but

not limited to qualifications of NDT vendors, ensuring proper execution of NDT,
management of NDT contracts.

Requirements
Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Material Science.
Certified API 570 Piping Inspection
Certified API 510 Pressure Vessel Inspection
Minimum of 7 years' experience in the in-service inspection related activities
Certified AWS-CWl
Minimum of 3 years' experience in the fabrication related activities
ASNT or PCN Level lI in MT/PT/RI/UT
Preferably to be knowledge and experience in advance NDT methods such as
TOFD, PAUT, IRIS, RFET and ECT techniques.
Minimum of 3 years' experience in the NDT activities as PCN/ ASNT Level ll.

Other Experience:

Good understanding of HSE Management System and Risk Assessment

methodology.
Well versed in internationally accepted codes, standards, and practices.
Good understanding of degradation mechanisms affecting the equipment in the
Oil &. Petrochemical industries.
