Library Learning Center Director 2016-2017
Planning and implementing lessons for research and library skills for grades K-5. In
addition, I was responsible for assisting with state and local testing, scheduling(LLC,
Computer lab, Chrome books, iPads), ordering books, inputing book into the database,
processing books, material check-in, inventory, school-wide reading incentive program.
Recruit, train, and organize library volunteers
Co-ordinated twice yearly book fairs. Ordered books, decorated library, handles sales for
staff, students, and family night. Generated financial report and managed banking
Met with classrooms teachers to develop lessons that are aligned to Common Core
Standards.
Collaborates with the other teachers to use electronic resources and integrate technology.
Maintained an accurate catalog to facilitate access to library resources.
Worked collaboratively with classroom teachers to assist students in using databases to
research information for presentation.
Promoted reading for enjoyment and personal growth.
Cooperated with the public library to give students an opportunity to do STEM after school
programs in the school library.
Substitute Teacher
Long-term Library Learning Center Director substitute included planning and

Permanent substitute teacher reported every day to work as a teacher in any position when
needed, helped level books for the reading specialist, provided reading and math
intervention, assisted the LLC Director with cataloging and processing of materials.
Long-term First Grade substitute included Heggertys Phonemic Awareness, guided reading
groups, and Daily Five activities. Also, an emphasis on Words Their Way activities,
Everyday Math instruction and general activities for social studies, and science.
Long-term Elementary Art substitute included instruction of art curriculum for students
grades one through five based on collaboration with art staff.
Other non-core teaching experiences included numerous assignments in Music, Physical
Education, Art, and Library Learning Center.
Worked in various educational environments including K-5, ELL and Special Education.
Responsibilities included implementing classroom curriculum, maintaining classroom
behavior systems, attending to individual needs as well as needs of diverse student
populations.
