WEEKLY INTERNSHIP PROGRESS REPORT 1

WEEK 1: (June 6 TO June 12)

Respected sir,

I started my internship from 6th June, 2016 under the guidance of Adv. Rajeev Goyal. Mr.
Goyal is advocate in Moradabad district court and handles civil and criminal cases both. On
day 1 I was briefed as to what all things I will learn during this internship period.

Since I have interned under sir before there was no special introduction and I started working
immediately. This time my focus would be on criminal cases.

My work schedule is to attend court from 10 am to 3 pm with a 1 hr lunch break. 3 days leave
in 30 days internship period.

A few cases that I attended this week are:

Gajendra Singh v. Uday Singh Two parties entered into an agreement which
was cancelled by one party and had to pay
compensation. This case was related to
cheque bounce. Section 138 of Negotiable
Instruments act, 1881.

Harpreet Singh v. Panchsheel Colonizer We were representing the petitioner.


Panchsheel colonizer promised to give
possession of a plot to harpreet singh but
failed to do so.

State v. Vijay Agarwal We represented the defendant in this case.


Vijay was accused of creating a fake
insurance company and was booked u/s 420
of Indian Penal Code.
State v. Gurav A Gaurav was found making alcohol and he
used to mix urea to make it more addicting. A
knife was also found in his possession. The
case is still pending.

Vinod v. Jayesh Bhandar Jayesh used to buy grocery from Vinod and
made payment by giving a cheque. This time
the cheque got dishonoured hence the suit.

Kumar v. Moradabd Paschim Kshetray vitray Mr. Kumar was wrongly charged for an
co. electricity bill. The petioner used only 44
units but he was charged for 144 units.
