The mission-church is sending individuals to Lancaster to help morph The
Center into church planting mode.
Following the example from the the book of Acts, where the elders of the
church in Antioch sent their best equipped men (Paul and Barnabas), La
Roca is sending two of their best couples in order to make an investment
into the work of Church Extension Ministries in Lancaster.

THE CENTER / LANCASTER, PA JUNE 16, 2017

Roberto and Betsy Martnez came to La Roca about

four years ago, with a group of individuals that he
was shepherding. This came about after coming to
know the doctrine of Grace and realizing that La
Roca and Pastor Carlos Rodrguezs ministry were
from that same persuasion. Currently, Roberto is
helping through preaching and teaching, and is
being considered to be one of the future elders at
La Roca. Betsy, has been helping with worship,
womens Bible study, and the childrens ministry.
The other couple is Alexis and Zulay Ramrez. The
grace of God came to Alexis in a dramatic way.
After a life of crime and drug addiction, in May
2011, God used Zulay in sharing the Gospel to Alexis and the Holy
Spirit poured His grace upon his life.
Today, Alexis, Zulay and their children are faithful committed participants at La Roca. They are part
of a group of individuals from the mission-church who are taking Bible classes through Instituto
Integridad y Sabidura (Integrity and Wisdom Institute), a Bible institute located in the Dominican
Republic that is helping in training men and women in the Word from throughout Latin America and
the United States. Alexis is a natural evangelist and a utility man who enjoys serving in the church
in whatever capacity is needed. Even with his limited English, he is always sharing with others about
Christs love and grace. His favorite phrase is Jesus loves you. You can truly see the amazing Grace
of God working through and in them.
Within the next week, both families, the Martinezs and the Ramirezs, will be spearing the
Community Surveys for The Center. We are praying that through their work we will be able to
gather a group of individuals who will be interested in Bible study and the mission-church.
