Policy for qualifying consultants/trainers for Safe Food Tasty

Food initiative -Voluntary Certification Scheme for Food


Establishments

QCI had conducted a 2 day Workshop on 30-31t August 2010 on the Scheme and had
qualified consultants/trainers based on performance of participants whose names are
displayed on QCI website. QCI may conduct such Workshops elsewhere also in future.

However, to afford individuals who are not able to attend such Workshops, an opportunity to
get qualified for this Scheme by self study, QCI has decided on the following policy:

1. Individuals interested in getting qualified for the Scheme may apply to QCI on the
attached application form along with the fee.

2. The minimum eligibility criteria is as follows:

Degree in food related discipline with coursework in chemistry and microbiology.


Undergone training in auditing
Minimum 3 years experience in the food chain related industry or equivalent,
preferably in catering and in implementing GMP/GHP

3. The applicant accepted after scrutiny of application would be subject to an evaluation


by QCI by a QCI nominated expert. The applicant would have to appear for the
evaluation at his own expense.

4. If successful, the applicant would be added to the register of trainers/consultants


under the Scheme.

Note: Individuals attached with certification bodies shall be considered as trainers only.

The application fee is Rs. 5000/- to be sent in favour of the Quality Council of India by DD
payable at Delhi with a request letter or email. The fees will be non-refundable
