WEAVERS ON THE MOVE

THE TRANSITION
Hello from Alaska! Its been a busy couple of weeks since we left Pennsylvania. For those that didnt
know about this transition in our lives, here are details. Sunday, May 7th we headed out with our belongings
to make the move to Michigan. After three days of getting things somewhat settled, we got on a plane
bound for Alaska; the place that we would be calling home for six weeks! After that time is up we will be
back in Grand Rapids, Michigan where Brent will be working construction for the summer. Toward the end
of August, we will be moving to Jackson, Michigan to attend New Tribes Bible Institute.

ALASKA

We are, as of right now, in Alaska; and it is beautiful! The reason why we are in Alaska is because we
are helping at a camp called Eaglecrest Alaska Missions. At the camp, they host church groups and youth
groups that come up on mission trips. The camp is the resource to help get the groups out ministering to
the community, as well as coordinating work projects to help in the community, different hikes and
activities for the groups to do and most importantly, Discipleling those who come to the camp. We are
considered staff for the time that we are at Eaglecrest, so our responsibilities are to help lead these groups
that come up. Different ways we might lead may include: leading a work project off site, cleaning buildings
on sight, cooking for the groups, and helping them strengthen their relationship with The Lord Jesus Christ.
NTBI
In late August we will be starting our schooling at New Tribes Bible Institute. We are so excited for
this opportunity to continue to grow in the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. This
opportunity is also a time for Brent and me to grow stronger as a couple and become more dependent upon
God in our daily lives. The curriculum at new tribes includes going through the Bible from Genesis to
Revelation and learning how to study it for ourselves and then to turn around and teach it to those that have
never heard it before. We will also have other classes scattered throughout those including: Biblical
Foundations, Hermeneutics, Bibliology, Evangelism in a Post-Modern World, Anthropology/Hamartiology,
as well as many more great classes! We are not sure of the plans God has for us after those two years, but
what we are sure of is that He will guide us every step of the way.

Thank you all so much for your support along the way. Please continue to keep us in your prayers,
specifically for traveling in the next few weeks, as well as open hearts and minds that are ready to learn and
put into practice what God is teaching us.

keep growing in knowledge and understanding.
