production even in low-wind conditions. The system design is inspired on

extreme simplicity concepts, a basic structure and a low number of
components, minimizing the risk of breakdowns in the project lifespan.

With its 18 mt rotor diameter, a 55kWp generator (compared with a nominal

output of 50 kW) and the pitch control system the wind turbine provides an
outstanding power performance and the most costeffective productivity. The
rotor connects directly to the generator (Direct Drive) without gearbox. In this
way, thanks to a fewer rotating components, the mechanical simplicity of the
system is favoured. This ensures highest efficiency of the wind turbine over
time, reducing maintenance and increasing the profitability of the system.

The turbine starts producing power at a wind speed of 2,5 m / s, reaches its 50
kW rated power with a wind at 10 m / s, this value is kept constant with winds up
to 20 m / s by the control blade pitch system.

The synchronous generator is connected to three-phase low tension by an

inverter. Ipower 50kW 2011 - installed on a monopole tower thanks to the
embossed placement of the generator is characterized by a shorter tree, thus
guaranteeing a latest design, elegant and very compact, on compliance with
all environmental laws and a very small space occupation on the ground.

The design and the low speed rotation minimize noise and ensure less wear on
equipment. Thanks to these features, the system requires lower maintenance
on the wind turbine lifespan, bringing down costs drastically.

Ipower 50kW may be the ideal solution for farmers and small-medium
enterprises in rural areas.

OVERVIEW
A GEREPOWER 100kW medium sized wind turbine suitable for
powering larger farms, community projects and commercial properties

PERFORMANCE
The energy capture of the GEREPOWER 100KW turbine is exceptionally
good across a wide range of wind speeds and comes installed on a 36m
freestanding tower for maximum energy capture.

RELIABILITY
The GEREPOWER 100KW turbine is intended for a range of harsh
conditions, especially exposed locations.
The remaining design life of these machines is in excess of 20 years.

COST
Typical fully installed cost is around EURO 245.000,00 depending upon the
site conditions and electrical connection. This compares favourably with
the cost per kW of smaller wind turbines.
