Infecting Culture Part 13

“The Nameless Church”

Pastor Kerry Wilson
Infecting Culture Part 13
“The Nameless Church”
• John 17:4 “I have glorified You on the earth. I
have finished the work which You have given
Me to do.”
• Jesus has chosen three, from the three to
twelve and now we are going to witness the
flow of 120 (Acts 1:15 “ the number of names
together were about an hundred and twenty”)
on the day of Pentecost to exponential
growth.
Infecting Culture Part 13
“The Nameless Church”
• Acts 1:7-8 (New King James Version)
• 7 And He said to them, “It is not for you to
know times or seasons which the Father has
put in His own authority. 8 But you shall
receive power when the Holy Spirit has come
upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me[a]
in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria,
and to the end of the earth.”
Infecting Culture Part 13
“The Nameless Church”
• We have spent much time ministering on
culture and how that we have been part of
some culture, whether religious, ethnic, or
social sub culture. We eat, socialize and co-
habitat based on our cultural habits.
• We have defined the world, or this system and
no matter how you define it, it opposes God
and His creation.
Infecting Culture Part 13
“The Nameless Church”
• A few weeks ago we talked about the basic three
allurements of the world and then gave the
scriptural admonition for how to overcome them.
• Our focus will be on “power”, the power that
Jesus spoke of and that was relevant in a cultural
shift during the Roman Empire. This exponential
growth impacted and infected the Roman Empire
to the degree that many thought this growth
would threaten the existing power and eventually
rebel.
Infecting Culture Part 13
“The Nameless Church”
• This power is in you, by virtue of the Holy
Ghost which is in you. I believe that it is
dormant in many lives because of the lack of
reality in many people’s lives.
• When we think of power we automatically
displace this mentality to the Apostolic Age
and to a few “gifted” people, but in reality this
is an untapped and revolutionary mentality,
“You have this power”.
Infecting Culture Part 13
“The Nameless Church”
• I am going to teach those who are teachable
how to bring “glory” to God with this power.
• I am not speaking of the random, the five fold
ministry (Ephesians 4: 11), your motivational
or your spiritual gift. In fact, all of you have
the potential because of this power to unleash
Jesus to your family, this region and the world.
Infecting Culture Part 13
“The Nameless Church”
• I want to dispel the laity versus ministry dichotomy
that has taken root in the church. I am not threatened
and I am tired of ministry manipulating and controlling
people based on keeping them from their calling to
bring glory to God through the finished work of Jesus
Christ by the Holy Ghost.
• Jeremiah 23:4 (New King James Version)
• “ I will set up shepherds over them who will feed them;
and they shall fear no more, nor be dismayed, nor shall
they be lacking,” says the LORD.”
Infecting Culture Part 13
“The Nameless Church”
• This is the reason for lack of fulfillment inside
of the body and consequently a church culture
that gives and gives but never sees Jesus in
their everyday life.
• If I understand the my calling as an “apostle-
pastor” this is what I am supposed to be
doing.
Infecting Culture Part 13
“The Nameless Church”
• Ephesians 4:12-13 (Amplified Bible)
• 12Hisintention was the perfecting and the full equipping of
the saints (His consecrated people), [that they should do]
the work of ministering toward building up Christ's body
(the church),
• 13[That it might develop] until we all attain oneness in the
faith and in the comprehension of the [[a]full and accurate]
knowledge of the Son of God, that [we might arrive] at
really mature manhood (the completeness of personality
which is nothing less than the standard height of Christ's
own perfection), the measure of the stature of the fullness
of the Christ and the completeness found in Him.

• Mathias, Barnabas, Philip, Prochorus, Nicanor,
Timon, Parmenas, Nicolas, Stephen,Cornelius,
Simeon called Niger, Lucius, Aquilla, Priscilla,
Crispus, Apollos,Nymphas, Archippus, Sopater,
Aristarchus, Secundas, Gaius, Tychicus,
Trophimus, Syntyche, Euodias, Epaphroditus,
Chloe, Linus, Erastus, Eubulus,Claudia and a
plethora of others.
Infecting Culture Part 13
“The Nameless Church”
• The current culture of the church doesn’t
recognize these unnamed saints. In fact they
were the church and doing the work of the
ministry under the power of the Holy Ghost
that turned a culture and an empire upside
down.
• How many people misunderstand the
difference between “position” by that I mean
a leadership position versus our “calling”
Infecting Culture Part 13
“The Nameless Church”
• Church leadership has it’s place and creates an
environment for discipling people. Your calling
is to minister the person of Jesus Christ to
your sphere of living.
• Pastor, I’m not smart enough or well spoken
enough, you have inside you all you need to
impact people.

“The Nameless Church”
• 1 Corinthians 1:26-29 (New King James Version)
• Glory Only in the Lord

26 For you see your calling, brethren, that not many wise
according to the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble,
are called. 27 But God has chosen the foolish things of the
world to put to shame the wise, and God has chosen the
weak things of the world to put to shame the things which
are mighty; 28 and the base things of the world and the
things which are despised God has chosen, and the things
which are not, to bring to nothing the things that are, 29
that no flesh should glory in His presence.
• You see these comparisons concern “power”
Infecting Culture Part 13
“The Nameless Church”
• What is the problem with “revelation”?
• When revelation is given and goes into our
spiritual man it brings light. If this light is not
guiding and shining it remains alone. We
become indoctrinated with knowledge and
the spiritual application becomes lost.
Consequently we become susceptible to
delusion and deception.
Infecting Culture Part 13
“The Nameless Church”
• We absorb this revelation into our spiritual
man with no place to make it real, we become
lethargic and docile thinking that knowing all
these things will turn things around. It will
never happen.
• You have this opportunity to not only silence
satan but to be fulfilled in your Christian walk.
