PROPOSAL OF HOW TO SPEAR HEAD DEVELOPMENT THROUGH CHANGE OF ATTITUDE AND MINDSET

OF THE YOUTHS IN UGANDA.

THE YOUTH ATTITUDE DEVELOPMENT PROJECT.

The youth attitude development project is a program intended to solve most of the problems the youths
face. Having realized that the youths are the future of the nation, much emphasis should be put on them
in order to have a better Uganda tomorrow. Some of the challenges of the youths include;

*unemployment

*high levels of poverty

*poor education

*Labour abuse/exploitation of the youths etc.

Most of these challenges/problem have been put/blamed on the government which has worsened the
situation. Yet these problems are brain problems which can be solved by change of attitude of the
youths.

Therefore through this project we intend to solve the problems of the youths through changing their
attitude and way of thinking thus creating a better Uganda. We believe when we deal with the youths
effectively, we shall have dealt with the whole nation.

One of the worst challenges in Uganda is that the old people have poisoned the mind of the young by
convincing them that the problem of Uganda is the government. This attitude has blinded the mind of
the youths till they have reached a level of hopelessness and this has killed our nation.

Therefore as Ugandans we need to do something to save the nation, and this project provides the
solution to the problems if supported.

All that we need to do is talk to the youths, change their attitude towards the government and work,
inspire them, motivate them, and educate them on investment and financial discipline.

EVERYTHING GREAT TODAY STARTED JUST AS AN IDEA, man can do anything as long as he has the idea
and determination to develop it. Thats why this project intends to solve youth problems by giving them
ideas and inspiration to ignite the determination in them.

IT IS BETTER TO TEACH ME HOW TO FISH THAN TO GIVE ME FISH. Therefore it is better we taught the
youths how to make money than giving them money. Government has tried its best to give money to
the youths as a starting point but most youths have failed to invest it rightly because they lack the
investment ideas and motivation which this project intends to provide.

THEREFORE LET US SPEAK TO THE YOUTHS, INSPIRE, MOTIVATE AND CHANGE THEIR ATTITUDE TO
BUILD AGREAT NATION.

PLAN LAYOUT FOR THE YOUTH ATTITUDE DEVELOPMENT PROJECT

1. First we need to have the attention of the youths and this is possible through activities liked by the
youths. Like;

*moving with young artists

*organizing sports and games

*talent shows etc.

Through these activities, the youths can gather and we speak to them and have an impact on their
lives.

2. We need to target areas that have many youths like schools, university and villages.

3. Start a youth magazine with relevant information for the youths.

4. Start experimentery projects for the youths. To demonstrate what is taught.

5. organize youth debates that are developmental.

PROPOSAL OF HOW TO SPEAR HEAD DEVELOPMENT THROUGH CHANGE OF ATTITUDE AND MINDSET
OF THE YOUTHS IN UGANDA.

1.0 INTRODUCTION
This proposal is aimed at bringing about development in Uganda through concentrating on solving
the root cause of under development in Uganda. The future of Uganda cannot be weighed basing on
the old but rather on the youths. While the youths could be around 40% of todays Uganda, they are
100% of the future Uganda. Therefore there is no way we can think of a better Uganda without
thinking of the youths today. And for us to have development, it has to start with the youths or else
our efforts will be in vain.
Whereas government has tried its best to deal with the youths problems, it has failed to solve the
problems of the youths because it has left the center of the problem intact, which is the mind of the
youths.
Therefore this proposal suggests a solution to the youth problems by dealing with the attitude and
mindset of the youths.
2.0 Challenges faced by the youths.
*general negative attitude towards everything.
*High rate of unemployment among youths.
*increasing immorality among the youths.
*high rate of school dropout.
*high rate of drug abuse. Etc.
All these are not financial problems nor are they to be blamed on the government but rather they
are brain problems whose solution should be dealing with the brain itself.
3.0 Solution to the challenges.
As it is always said, things will always end where they started. All these problems can be solved by
dealing with the mind of the youths.

The youths today lack jobs simply because they have it in mind that they have to look for jobs rather
than creating jobs, some have a negative attitude towards some blue color jobs. The only problem is
the mind which we can solve and have the problem solved once and for all.

The youths today have developed a negative attitude towards everything due to the negativity
imparted in them by the old who have derailed the youths by convincing them that the problem is
the government yet the problem is the youth failing to discover their potential. Once we help the
youth discover their potential, the problem will be solved.

Most of the youths today have lost hope in our Ugandan education because most of them think that
education is for jobs yet they are not finding them. We need to change this attitude by informing the
youths that education is for knowledge which one should acquire and use for a living.

The youths today have resorted to drug abuse, prostitution, theft etc because they feel its the best
option that they have. Through this proposal we can enrich the youths with a mind that can solve
problems in a better and healthy way that is developmental.

All men are born without riches and equal, but grow to be different basing on how they develop
their mind and apply it. We can make Uganda great by helping the youth discover their potential
and ability.
