Subject: Application for the position of Administration and Finance Coordinator

Dear Sir,
I am writing to apply for the position of Administration and Finance Coordinator. My extensive experience in the
area of finance and operations in three major international development organizations such as FAO of the United
Nations, Care Bangladesh and Save the Children aligns well with the qualifications you are seeking which has made
me confident and thus evaluated myself as a potential candidate for this position.

Skills that I have acquired during my previous roles are the ability to successfully implement and manage finance
and operations and grants management functions including reporting and budget management. I enjoy the challenge
of integrating a new system and working with the wider finance and operational team to ensure a smooth and result
oriented workflow in handling grants management, financial, procurement activities and all sorts of reporting with
due compliance. I have a proactive management style with highly developed communication skills. I have frequently
been required to manage a team under pressure and enable them to meet strict deadlines. I would like to express my
interest to significantly improve the operational efficiency of the project as expected. Having assumed increased
level of responsibility through the practical application of a strong set of analytical and creative and critical thinking
skills, I believe I would make a valuable addition to your team.

Out of more than 15 years of professional experience I worked as Administrator-Finance, Procurement &
Operations for 5 years in FAO of the United Nations and successfully closed the project after efficient
implementation of the project. My work has resulted in an efficient and streamlined operation. Followings are some
of the skills and competencies I offer:

Have strong managerial and oversight skills. I expertly direct the team of different expertise. Due to
varying skills of the staffs and level of professional expertise.
As a keen negotiator I work with third party service providers to ensure service delivery at competitive
costs.
Have strong influencing, leading, and delegating abilities of work with team members for timely
completion of assignments for meeting the deadline of accomplishment.
Good planner which helps to accomplish the work maintaining the quality in organized way to achieve the
target.
Have sound knowledge on rules regulations and reporting requirements of major international donors such
as GAFSP, World Bank, USAID, EC, and CIDA etc. and its compliance matters.
Highly proactive and capacity of initiating, prioritizing works and problem solving skills with considerable
integrity.
I am very proficient with the essential computing programs such as Microsoft Excel, Word, power point
and using online accounting systems.
