WAYS TO MAKE

A Study something.
Why not go ‘back to schoot’? Most universities offer
evening or summer courses. You can explore your
interests, study for a qualification and get to know the
other students.
B Go to museums.
Many museums have lectures followed by sacial
gatherings where you can meet and talk to people with
similar interests. You could also become a volunteer
museum guide for averseas visitors - you'llearn a lat!
¢ Buy a football season ticket.
If you're a football fan, buy @ season ticket for your local
stadium. The people who sit near you support your team
too but you might have more interests in common,
D Get a dog.
While out on walks, your dog will introduce’ you to other
dog owners but you could also take him to obedience
classes. Youll have a happy pet and some new friends
as well
E Join a choir.
IFyoure a frustrated musician, then why not join 3 choir?
Performing will give you a sense of achievement - one
youll share with the other choir members.
F Volunteer.
‘Teach teenagers about recycling or help clean up a local
beach. You'l feel good about yourself and activities like
these are a perfect way of meeting like-mindec people.
G Go onacruise.
Cruises are a great way of meeting a wide range of
people from different countries. There's always a huge
Programme of activities to do, including art and history,

H Join a book club (or start one!
Some libraries spansar book clubs but if yours doesnt,
start one yourself invite friends and take it in turns to
choose a book to discuss -ittl certainly improve your
conversation skils!
