Dear ELE FEALAC recruiters,

I got the opportunity to know about your Spanish Course for Tourist Guides & Undergraduate and
Graduate Students from FEALAC East Asian Countries through the Columbia Embassy in Vietnam. Some
of my university friends returned from your courses and shared their valuable experiences to me. Being
eager to learn about Colombian culture and language, I would like to apply for this interesting course. I
believe my fluency in English, academic results and experiences in tour guiding activities would help me
become an eligible candidate for your program.

My most recent GPA is 3.44/4.0. My IELTS test score is 7.5 and V-STEP score is 9.0/10.0, which is equivalent
to C1 according to CEFR. As an undergraduate, I have not only worked hard on my academic training, but
also engaged myself on a variety of extracurriculum activities, both nationally and internationally. For
example, I volunteered accompanying the band SAVEUS (Danish) during their time in Hanoi for MONSOON
MUSIC FESTIVAL 2016. Additionally, I have been a regular member of the Hanoi Free Tour Guides for
English-speaking tourists, where once a week I takes a group of 4 to 5 foreigners on a one-day city tour.
Joining this organization helpes me to further enrich my knowledge of Vietnamese history and sharpen
my English presentation skills. My passion for becoming a tour guide has been fostered after those tours.

I believe that the knowledge and practices I acquired at the university and through volunteer work could
serve as a solid foundation for my future job as a tour guide and make me a qualified candidate for your
Spanish course. I would appreciate the opportunity to dicuss my qualifications in an interview. Thank you
