A casino is a facility which houses and accommodates certain types of gambling

activities. In Malaysia operate a casino is needed to apply licence from government.

Recently, Berjaya Group founder Tan Sri Vincent Tan's statement that he would apply

for a licence to operate a casino at Berjaya Hills Resort and would invest RM3 billion

to set up the complex. It is good decision for government to approve the casino

licence. I have few reasons to support my stand.

Firstly, operate a new casino will increase our countrys economic growth.

The visit of tourism will benefit in Malaysia foreign exchange rate and it will help to

reduce amount foreign country liability to be paid by our country. In addition, tax paid

by casino can be extra income to develop our country in many policy that brings

benefits to national.

Secondly, operate a new casino will help to reduce unemployed rate in

Malaysia. A new casino will supply about 10,000 job opportunity toward locals. The

locals are giving chance to be training and contribute towards economic. The low

unemployed rates can reduced the crimes occur and increase the live quality of our

national residents.

Some people argue that operate one more casino in Malaysia will cause rise in

people that addict in gambling. However, that can be prevent by request high entrance

fee from national residents and provide counselling to who addict in gambling.

Singapore is using the same method to prevent their national residents addict in

gambling.

In conclusion, it is definitely a good idea government to approve the casino

licence because it will help to make our economic grow better and reduced the locals

unemployed rates .
