OBE SYLLABUS IN BCOMM (BUSINESS COMMUNICATION)

A. VISION: CNSC as a premier higher education institution in the Bicol Region.

B. MISSION: The Camarines Norte State College shall provide higher and advanced studies in the fields of education, arts
and sciences, economics, health, engineering, management, finance, accounting, business and public
administration, fisheries, agriculture, natural resources development and management and ladderized courses.
It shall also respond to research, extension and production services adherent to progressive leadership
towards sustainable development.

management system providing excellent professional services on instruction, research and extension to meet

F. COURSE TITLE: Philippine Literature

G. COURSE DESCRIPTION: This course introduces students to the study of mass communication and presents a multidisciplinary
examination of the complex interplay between mass communication and social life. We will explore the diverse ways in which flows of
information shape and are shaped by various levels of social organization. We will also examine ways in which media encompasses
individuals, families, communities, corporations, nations, and world systems. Students will critically engage all forms of mass media,
ranging from traditional print, radio, and television media to the new information technologies. Using a historical approach, we will
also examine the ways in which culture and opinion can be shaped and manipulated by various media sources.

M. INSTITIUTIONAL INTENDED LEARNING OUTCOMES: CSNC envisions a graduate having the following attributes: professional
competence, critical and creative thinking skills, technical competitive skills, productivity, social and ethical
responsibility, communication skills, interpersonal skills and lifelong learning.

N. PROGRAM INTENDED LEARNING OUTCOMES: For Bachelor of Science in Entrepreneurship, the following set of objectives
describes what graduates are expected to attain within few years after graduation:

1. Perform self-assessment and analyze personal entrepreneurial traits and competencies.

2. Scan the environment for business opportunities.

3. Identify possible entrepreneurial venture and develop their respective profiles.

4. Select the project to be developed into a business and prepare a business plan.

5. Prepare and comply requirements for business start-up.

6. Operate and manage the enterprise as good governance and social responsibility are practiced.

O. COURSE INTENDED LEARNING OUTCOMES: At the end of the course, students should be able to:

Attendance will be checked; in some cases, checking shall be by means of giving unannounced quizzes.
