To Whom It May Concern:

Krystina Stump completed her elementary student teaching practicum in my third-grade classroom. Our homeroom
class consisted of 26 students, 16 boys and 10 girls. Also, there were 3 students who were identified as learning
disabled, and 2 students who were autistic. Within the grade level we were responsible for teaching reading, science,
social studies, and writing. The students switched classes for math and more intensive reading instruction while our
class welcomed two other sets of third grade classrooms for our four areas of study. Mrs. Stump primarily worked in
our classroom, but also taught some of the math classes to gain experience in all the subject areas. Overall, she was
required to teach approximately 80 students.

Since completing her student teaching practicum in my class (2015), Krystina has taken on many other roles to gain
experience in the classroom with other students, schools, and faculties. I am always impressed with her willingness to
help, or take responsibilities that are challenging and require her creativity and perseverance. Some of the positions
that I know Krystina has worked are: kindergarten teacher, substitute teacher, teachers aide, reading specialist,
college student tutor, and has taught both elementary and senior high school regular education classes. Her love of
teaching and desire to teach is unmatched, and has given her the diverse range of experiences in which she has
engaged.

Krystina is a person who is born to teach. She has spoken of her love of education throughout her schooling, and
her attentiveness to the teachers who instructed her. It seems that she has combined the favorable traits of her
former teachers and developed skills to make them useful as she became a teacher herself. This is seen as Krystina
makes sure that her learning environment is motivating and engaging, encouraging all students to be invested in their
lessons. She is skilled at addressing students with special needs, making sure all students are cared for and included. I
observed this not just in her written lesson plans, but in the differentiation that she incorporated in lessons.

Krystina was always eager to help others. Whether it be a student, or another teacher, Mrs. Stump would eagerly
offer her assistance. She even came to school on days she was not required! She would help individual students,
make-up tests, teach lessons, or whatever she could to gain experience and be helpful to the third-grade team. Also,
Krystina spent a great deal of time after school hours preparing lessons and looking for resources to enrich our
curriculum. She truly enjoyed being at school, and working with the students, and the students were always glad to
have her as their teacher. Krystina is definitely a team-player, and works hard to go above and beyond to carry out the
teams responsibilities.

Mrs. Stump has educated herself by attending meetings, or by doing her own research, in all areas that concern
teachers today. She is well-informed regarding data collection, the Common Core, M-Step, 5D+ Best Practices for
Teaching and Learning, School Improvement, student engagement techniques, learning targets, success criteria,
Gradual Release, and using the Workshop Model for teaching. Her knowledge of best practices in education make her
a well-informed applicant. Krystina doesn't just want to teach, she studies teaching, teachers, and the methods of
effective teaching. She passionately talks about teaching, how she can better her style, and how she can make more
of an impact on student learning. Krystina doesn't just want to teach lessons, she truly cares and deeply aspires not
just to make teaching a career, but to make it part of the way she will live!

I strongly recommend Krystina Stump for any teaching position. Her positive attitude, willingness to learn, strong work
ethic, and life's goal to teach will make her an unforgettable teacher in the lives of her students.
