1. ACTIVITY

1.1 Video Presentation

- The students will watch a video presentation on how a 3 way switch works. And they will answer the
guide question given on each group.

Explain the 3 way switch.

What are the positions or four possible states of 3 way switch?
How to use the 3 way switch?
Where is the individual terminal connected?

- The students will watch a video presentation on how to do the wiring connection of 1Bulb
controlled by 3way Switch.

2. ANALYSIS

2.2 Where do we usually found the 3 way switch connection?
2.3 How the 3 way switch works?
2.4 How will you avoid accident that might be happen during house wiring installation?

3. ABSTRACTION

3 Way Switch is one of the many types of special switches where you can turn ON and OFF the light
into 2 different locations. a three-way switch, the top terminal connects to one or the other of the bottom
two terminals. A three-way switch has three terminals, and the switch connects the first terminal to either
the second or the third terminal. Special switches known as three-way switches.
In your house or apartment, you probably have at least one light that is controlled by two separate
switches. Whenever you flip either one of the switches, the light changes its state -- if it is on it turns off,
and if it is off it turns on.
The switches must create a complete circuit for current to flow and the bulb to light. When both
switches are up, the circuit is complete (top right). When both switches are down, the circuit is complete
(bottom right). If one switch is up and one is down, the current reaches a dead end, no current flows and
the bulb is off (top left and bottom left).

To avoid possible incident that be happen PPE is required before until the installation is done.

4. APPLICATION

4.1 The assigned group will do the practicum of wiring connection of 1 Bulb controlled by 3Way
Switch.

4.2 The remaining students will do their plates and draw the schematic and line diagram of
different wiring connection.

Speed 5points (Finish the practicum 2 or 5 min. ahead of time)

Accuracy- 5points (Proper Connections)
Functionality- 5points (The 1bulb functions normally by a 2 S3W or 3 way switch)
Team Work- 5points (All of the members are doing the assigned task)
Method- 5points (Followed the procedure of wiring installation and proper wearing of PPE.)
