MineSight Mapping
1. Purpose
1.1. This procedure describes how to change/update the mapping symbol database
2. Scope
2.1. This procedure applies to only to Mine Geology Personnel that are authorized to
create or modify material symbols in the mapping database.
3. Responsibilities
3.1. Authorized personnel are responsible for adding, changing, or updating the
materials mapping database on a regular basis and as need of new or
modification of symbols is required.

9.4. A pop-up window will appear, in this window name the Material (e.g. Fault)

9.10. Under the symbols tab, make sure that the geol symbols file is open,
then select the symbol you would like to assign your new material to.

9.11. In the right hand column under Material click and select your newly
created material.

9.15.1. Hint: if the file will not save after copying materials, it is likely that you forgot to
change the name of a copied symbol. MineSight cannot save the same symbol
with the same name and two different assigned materials.
