1.1 Safety Information and rules


Use the following information to the safety standards and legal regulations to install, better
understand maintenance and use of EVW3226 Advanced Wireless Voice GatewayWARNING:.
1.1.1 Safety
The following information provides safety guidelines for anyone who installs the EVW3226 and

Keep the basic safety precautions in order to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock and injury. To

install it near water. Never pour liquids on or in this product. Do not use liquid or aerosol
cleaners on or near this product. Clean with a soft dry cloth.
Do not insert objects into the openings or module in the empty slots of the product. These could
damage the parts accidentally and / or cause electric shock.
Electrostatic discharge (ESD) can damage semiconductor devices permanently. Always follow
the ESD-prevention guidelines for the handling and storage of equipment.
Use only the power adapter that is supplied with the gateway. Not fix the power cord to building
surfaces or floors, as this may damage the cable.
Place the power cable free and avoid obstacles. Do not place
heavy objects on the power cord. Do not use the cable improperly, walk on or go.
