Considering those, it is proved that having positive self-concept and high self-esteem
are one of the keys on having better chances for a happy and satisfying adulthood.
However, not all can surpass the challenges of life in an ideal way and one of the many
reasons behind this is the abusive behaviors manifested by the people on their
environment. Abuse can come in many forms verbal, physical, sexual, or emotional.
Many abusive relationships have more than one type of abuse, and none of them
should be tolerated. And in order to give aid to the victims there are lots of centers

(NDHS) conducted by the National Statistics Office (NSO) introduced the "Women
Safety Module" revealed that one in five women aged 15-49 has experienced physical
violence since age 15; 14.4 percent of married women have experienced physical
abuse from their husbands; and more than one-third (37%) of separated or widowed
women have experienced physical violence, implying that domestic violence could be
physical abuse on Filipino Women aging from 15 to 30 years old. And by saying
physical abuse this study will refer to the situation when someone physically hurts you,
such as by hitting you or throwing something at you. Moreover, one of the aims of this
study is to identify if after entering these centers and participating different interventions
are there significant changes on the way they view themselves and how they perceive
the world. Somehow, did that help them enhancing their negative self-concepts into
positive ones and their low self-esteems into high one? This study aims to identify the
intervention.

interview with some of the participants might be conducted if needed for stronger
justification of the results. Thus, this is still a proposal and can be a subject to further
improvement.
