RESEARCH GROUP PROJECT 25%
DATE GIVEN: Monday 29th February, 2016
DUE DATE: Monday 11th April, 2016 at 10:00 a.m.

Each group, comprising 4 students, must present a single report and website. All names for your group project must be
submitted as outlined in the Report guidelines. Once you are assigned to a group you must remain with the group for the
duration of the project.

OBJECTIVE:

The group project aims to provide accurate information of a given topic in an interesting and appealing
manner. The design, layout and navigation and your groups creativity should be showcased, and a
professional image should be maintained to appeal to the business and academic worlds. In this project you
will also gain some experience in presentation skills.
Create an educational website using Microsoft Expression Web. The site aims to provide accurate information
of a given topic in an interesting and appealing manner. The design, layout and navigation of the website are
determined by the group. The website should showcase your groups creativity as well as maintain a
professional image to appeal to the business and academic worlds. Students are encouraged to be innovative
on the researched topics.

Contributions
Each group must ensure that all members have tasks in the selected project. These should be indicated
when all group members are identified at the start of the project. In the front page of the printed submitted
report, also ensure that the breakdown of tasks for each student is indicated. Each group is expected to
submit all tasks, and would be marked on a complete project.
Each student independently evaluates the other member of his/her group and completes a peer evaluation
form. He/she would then put this form at the back of the printed submission. This evaluation is important
in evaluating each individuals project mark. The peer evaluation form is printed at the back of the
hardcopy submission and can be found on myElearning.
Any problems with the co-operation of any member in the group project must be brought to his/her
attention and an attempt to resolve issues within the group must be taken. If this is unsuccessful, then lack
of participation would be reflected in the peer evaluation forms.
