Professional Course Program

The Engineering and Technology of Subsea System Oil and Gas: Case
Studies and Assessment on Shallow Ultra- Deep Water (ASME B31.4 and
DNV OS F101)

WHAT IS THE REASON FOR THE COURSE ?

Badan Kejuruan Mesin Persatuan Insinyur Indonesia (BKM PII) this time presenting
professional training that addresses the technology pipeline for offshore, from shallow to ultra-deep
water. Explorations of many offshore wells appeared to have brought the condition that engineers
must understand and appreciate the requirements required in the design, code, specification, and
construction. The Codes and Standards implemented are ASME B31.4 and DNV OS F101.

The challenges are currently increasing as exploration and production of oil and gas moves from
onshore and shallow water to deep and ultra-deep water as well remote fields.

This short course will demonstrate an innovative of subsea technology to overcome the challenges of
exploration of oil and gas in deep & ultra-deep water. This lecturer includes presentations, case
studies and assessment all delivered by engineers working in industry, who are acknowledged as
experts in their field.

WHAT ARE THE BASIC PREMISES OF THE COURSE?

1. Introduction to Offshore and Subsea
2. X-Tree and Wellhead Systems
3. Manifolds and Subsea Structures
4. Umbilical and Subsea Control Systems
5. Mooring System, Subsea Pipeline and Risers
6. Tie-In and Connection Systems
7. Future Subsea Technology
8. Case Study

WHAT ARE THE PURPOSES OF THE COURSE?

1. Understanding of subsea pipeline technology on shallow ultra deep water.
2. Making BKM-PII as the vehicle of professionalism training
3. Improving services to all members of the BKM-PII and Indonesian engineering community.
4. Participation in this training can be used as an addition to the score (value) in the following
Professional Engineer Certification program,
5. This training has scored Continuous Professional Development (CPD), so it can be used as report
of activity on Continuous Professional Development (CPD), as a condition of the extension of the
validity of the certificate of professional engineers.
