Dear Mr. Martinez and Ms. Andujo:

It is with great interest that I am applying for the Registered Nursing position that I was
informed about by Mr. Luis Martinez. I hope to use the skills, knowledge, and experience that I
have obtained throughout my clinical rotations and Nurse Tech position to be an intricate
member of the ICU unit.
My qualifications for the Register Nurse position are the ability to take directions from
staff, utilize the nursing process, and actively participate in the safety and wellbeing of patients.
It is through completion of the following classes that I have obtained my credentials: Health
Assessment, Fundamentals, OB Pediatrics, Medical Surgical, Provider of Care and Crisis, Psych
Illness, Community, and Acute Care.
In addition to taking directions from staff, and utilization of the nursing process I am
also capable of assessing patients condition, observing and recording vital signs, ensure
medical equipment is functioning properly, act as patient advocate, and respond to life-saving
situations.
Thank you in advance for taking time to consider me for the Register Nurse position at
UMC. Included is my resume for your review. If you need additional information, please call
me at 915-222-1344 or email me at dhtarin@gmail.com.
