CUSTOMS CLEARANCE GUIDELINES:
1. Formalities :
- Refer to your shipment details and make a proper set of customs documents (formalities of processing,
export production, investment..etc) or obtain import license (For cultural items or duty free license for
shipments to diplomatic entities) then send to FedEx Hanoi to submit to Customs for clearance.
2. Informalities :
- If the shipments are samples, gift, please make a request letter to Customs & Fedex Hanoi for informal
import entry and commit to pay all duties/ taxes based on Vietnam Customs regulations (please provide full
description of goods, quantity, value breakdown for each item, using purpose). Upon receipt of the original
copy of your request, FedEx Hanoi will clear the shipment on behalf of consignee.
Note:
* The import tax of the shipment will be calculated based on commercial Invoice value, C&F term. In case customs
assess value understated in reference to market value, the value should be calculated by Viet Nam customs
regulations.
* The shipment will be held at FedEx Hanoi 5 business days for congsignee 's import clearance or related
documents. If no response within 5 business days, it will be returned at shipper's expense or destroyed at shipper's
disposal.
