on Dec 2001with a
tremendous increase of 33
students in the next
semester and 75 students in
the last semester with a total
number of more than 300
students .
The program is designed to graduate
Associated Nurse with 4 studying
semesters and six months Internship
Program.
A total of 75 credit hours diploma
(theory and practice) plus the 6 months
Internship Program is required in
accordance to the rules and regulations
of the Saudi Council for Health
Specialties.

A Biomedical Engineering
Technician (BMET) is one who
is knowledgeable in the theory
of operation, the underlying
physiological principles, and the
safe clinical application of
biomedical equipment
Program Objectives:
To train and develop an efficient and
dedicated cadre of young SAUDI
Technicians in Biomedical Engineering
Instrumentation who can work with other
health care professionals including
Physicians, Nurses, Therapists and other
hospital staff.
These Technicians can contribute to the
development and promotion of medical
services in Saudi Arabia, and play an
effective role in the overall health care
