Submission of the Internship Report


Dear Madam
As part of the requirement of Internship Program, I am pleased to submit my internship report
titled Customer satisfaction of National life Insurance Co. Ltd. The report is prepared for the
internship program during the period I took an in depth view of their operation and organization
itself.

The report mainly focused on determining & evaluating the customers satisfaction in National
Life Insurance Co. Ltd. Then based on the analysis, developing a model to make improvement in
the overall service quality to ensure customer satisfaction.

The internship program gave me the opportunity to experience the corporate culture, which was
a milestone in my career. I would like to give thanks to you & your office for the effort from
your part to ensure successful coordination of the internship program, and the guidance you have
provided.

I sincerely hope that you will find the report satisfactory and I shall be most obliged to clarify

Firstly I would like to convey my gratefulness to almighty Allah for enabling me the strength and
opportunity to complete the report within the schedule time successfully.

The internship report submitted here is performed as part of my internship program. Preparation
of this report received assistance, guidance and took valuable time of my supervisor, Asst. Prof.
Amita Das and advisor Md. Musfiqur Rahman Asst.Vice President of National Life Insurance
Co. Ltd.
However, I am immensely indebted to several people without whose support the project would
have been really difficult to conduct. I would take this opportunity here to thank them for sharing
their valuable time for long discussion and wise suggestion, thoughts during the internship
program. I would like to give special thanks to Md. Sarwar principal officer of Accounting
Department. During my internship program he guided me all the way through by sharing
experience and with suggestion and all information.

My sincere thanks to Mr.Mahbubul alom, senior officer of underwriting department; Ms. Fatema
Begum, policy service department, Mrs. Farzana Hossain, alteration section; Mr. Mafuful Haq,
Investment section & Mr. Mokarram Hossain, Finance& Accounts Department for patient with
me and supporting my internship report over their.

Finally, I would like to give thanks to my supervisor & advisor,. Asst. Prof. Amita Das for her
continuous help, support, advice and for the time she has spent for the refined my report. Without
their continuous support, the report would have been a directionless writing.

Executive Summary
The report on Customer satisfaction of National Life Insurance Co. Ltd. is an attempt to
introduce the readers to the different types of policy and its terms and conditions to get claims &
to study its services. In recent times the National Life Insurance Co. Ltd. provides different
types of policy based on different income level people. Based on maturity period and policy
types they give attractive bonus to the policyholder. During the policy period they also provide
survival benefit after a certain time period on the basis of policy terms and condition. They also
give loan to the policyholder against the 90% of surrender value with at 12% compound interest
rate.

On my internship report I also described different department of NLI such as Underwriting


Department, Policy Service Department, Commission section & Finance & Accounts
Department. Underwriting department gives decisions either the proposal is acceptable or not. If
they give decisions that the proposal can be accepted, then, they forward this proposal paper to
the deed section. By making a deed, a policy is started. Policy service department give daily
services to the policyholder. After making a deed the policyholders have to make payment
against their policy at an installment basis. All of these services like make original receipt, revive
of lapse policy, give survival benefit, make loan against surrender value, give claims against
death, accident or maturity etc is done by policy service department. Commission section makes
a commission to the agent of the company at different percentage. Accounts & Finance
Department makes all the payment and receipt of the company. They also make investment of
the company that means where the company should make investment.
