During my previous work with I gained a lot of experience in managing remote
operations as I managed three countries in the same time after 15 may 2010 till April
2011, through that time I was the country director for both Jordan and Lebanon and
assigned to manage the UNHCR and WFP programs implemented by IRW in Iraq.
Besides that; I was representing IRW in Libya and seconded to Turkey.

PROFESSIONAL CAREER AND EXPERIENCE

1- MANAGER OF KHALED ARAB COMMERCIAL ESTABLISHMENT: 1998- 2016.

Self employed at a private commercial company that I own and manage by


myself or through hired persons. It deals mainly with the import and distribution of
used clothes in Jordan. It has some secondary activities like: distribution of food
items, clothes, accessories and shoes.

2- COUNTRY DIRECTOR FOR IRW IN JORDAN: 15 MAY 2010 TILL 22 SEPTEMBER

The main Duties were:


Overseeing the overall activities for the branch in Jordan
Providing support to other neighboring offices.
Curry out negotiations with local and international agencies regarding the
relief of the Syrian refugees in Jordan
Providing support and coaching for local staff

The main activities that were implemented:


Orphan program toward Jordanian children
Providing assistance to Syrian refugees through providing food and non
food items and health support.
Leading the team during the implementing of the food vouchers
distribution project toward Syrian refugees funded by WFP at the northern
cities of Jordan.
Curry out negotiations with UNHCR to manage the Zaatary camp and
submit a proposal in this regard.

In secondment basis, I represented IRW in Turkey and met with different parties
to find possible ways to contribute in the relief of Syrian refugees.

4- HEAD OF MISSION FOR IRW IN LIBYA, BENGHAZI: 15 MARCH TILL 9 JUNE 2011

In secondment basis I represented IRW in Libya during the last crisis,


Based in Benghazi; I carried out needs assessment, contacted and coordinated
with different entities in Benghazi.

The main activities during this period were:

Submitting proposals to WFP, UNICEF and IRW regarding water and


sanitation and child protection.
Initiate an office for IRW and recruit its staff.
Implementing a food distribution project serving 1000 families
Implementing a water and sanitation project in Benghazi

5- GRANT MANAGER FOR IRW IN IRAQ; 15 MAY 2010 TILL 31 DECEMBER 2010

Beside my work in IRW branch in Jordan I was assigned as a Grant manager for
IRW office in Iraq;

The main Duties were to:

Supervise projects funded by WFP and UNHCR in Iraq


Liaise with country UNHCR and WFP delegation for Iraq which were
based in Jordan.
Review monthly and quarterly reports and submit it to UNHCR and WFP
Supervise the camp management activities in AL Walid refugee camp.
Supervise the reconstruction and rehabilitation activities for Iraqi IDPs
funded by UNHCR.
Ensure compliance with donor requirements.
Ensure that financial spending is in accordance with agreed budgets and
manage over and down spending.

Main duties:
Oversee the good implementation of IRW, ECHO and Unicef guidelines
during the implementation of the programs;
Recruit and coaching the new staff;
Prepare the country strategy.
Represent the organization
Writing proposals
Conducting evaluation and monitoring activities
Reporting to HQ and institutional donors

Main Achievements:

Implementing 4 project agreements funded by ECHO in south


Lebanon and Nahr Al Bared camp;
Implementing 8 projects funded by Unicef in south Lebanon and
Nahr Al bared Camp.
The main activities in this period were the rehabilitation of the wat-
san infrastructures in Nahr Al Bared camp, providing drinking water
for the returnees to Nahr Al bared Area; rehabilitation of 45 schools
in south Lebanon and providing water to two villages in Al Beqaa.

OCTOBER 2006

Beside logistics issues my assignment included liaising with local organizations


and associations in Lebanon to secure smooth movement of IRW staff in south
Lebanon during and after the crisis.

8- VOLUNTARY WORKS WITH ISLAMIC RELIEF WORLDWIDE: 2003 2006

I worked as a part time worker and volunteer with IRW since 2003 till July 2006,
my duties include providing support and logistic services to the IRW's Iraqi
mission that started working from Jordan and to follow up the in-kind donations
that come through Aqaba port to Bagdad and Erbil.

NOTE: Please note that through 2010 till 2011 I worked simultaneously in more
than one country.
