Wings and empennage

Each all metal wing is a semi-cantilever, semimonoque type, with two main spars and
suitable ribs for attachment of the skin.

Skin panels are riveted to ribs, spars, and stringers to complete the structure.

A single rubberised fuel tank is mounted between the wing spars at the inboard end of
each wing.

Landing gear

These aircraft are equipped with conventional landing gear, consisting of spring steel
main gear struts and a tapered tubular tail gear unit.

The tail wheel is steerable with the rudder pedals up to a maximum pedal deflection,
after which it becomes free swivelling.

Main gear

Airplanes equipped with agricultural dispersal systems have wire cutters on each strut
installed.

Main wheel tires (standard)...........6.00/6, 6- ply rating.

Tire pressure 30 psi

Optional tires..........8.00/6, 6-ply rating

Tire pressure23 psi

Aileron control system

Description the aileron control system consists of push-pull rods, bellcranks, cables,
pulleys, sprockets and roller chains, all of which, link the control wheels to the ailerons.

A control u interconnects the control wheels to the aileron cables.

Tail gear

Tail wheel tire.........2.80/8

Tire pressure 55-65 psi

3.00/4 tires are inflated to 55 psi

Whenever a tail wheel lock is incorporated on the tail gear steering is permitted to
approx. 2.5 degrees either side of neutral while the lock is engaged.

Wing flap control system

The flap control system is comprised of push-pull rods, bell cranks, pulleys and cables all
of which link the flaps to the manually-operated lever mounted between the pilots and
co-pilot seat.

A latch and ratchet mechanism locks the flaps in various degrees of extension.

Elevator control system

The elevators are operated through fore and aft movement of the pilot or co-pilot
control wheels.

The system is comprised of the control u, elevator push-pull tubes, bell cranks cables
and pulleys.

An elevator down spring is connected between the stabilizer and elevator push pull
tube.

Rudder control system

Rudder and rudder trim control system consists of individual rudder pedal assemblies
with return springs, rudder, rudder bell crank, cables and pulleys.

The rudder trim control system consists of a trim wheel, located on top of the tunnel
and a trim bungee attached to the left rudder bar.

Rudder control system

Rotating the trim wheel compresses a bungee spring which exerts force on the rudder
bar.

Tail wheel steering is controlled by cables and bell cranks attached to the rudder control
cables.

Stow able rudder pedals may be provided at the co-pilots position.

Stabilizer trim control system

The entire stabilizer may be trimmed to meet different speed and load conditions.

Rotating the trim wheel, mounted in the tunnel to the left of the flap control lever,
operates the stabilizer through a system of roller chains, cables and screw-jack
actuators.

The trim wheel is equipped with a pointer which indicates nose attitude of the aircraft
