1. GENERAL INFORMATION

a. Two Fiddy Introduction

Welcome to the Two Fiddy League Rulebook. The purpose of this
document is to ensure that all owners are well informed of league
settings and format. Ideally a fantasy football league would run
without any hiccups or controversy, however, every season brings its
share of problems. Should any issue arise, this rulebook will be the go-
to source for clarification on all rules and regulations.
Two Fiddy has seen a number of disputes since its inception in 2012.
Some were resolved fairly easily while others were a headache for
everyone involved. These disputes have lead to various rule changes
and fine tuning over the years. Hopefully with this rulebook in place we
will be able to quickly and painless resolve future conflicts and
continue having a successful, long lasting league. So please make
yourself familiar with the contents below for the benefit of all of us.

b. Dues
The annual entrance fee is $400 which is due prior to each seasons
draft. Unfortunately, Ive been involved with other leagues in which
the commissioner does not collect money up front or allows payment
plans. This never fails to create an issue at the end of the season when
it is time to payout the winners.
I make sure to have several replacement owners available each year,
so please let me know in advance if you can not afford the league. I
understand unforeseen circumstances and life in general may not allow
you to continue playing fantasy football. If you leave the league in
good standing you will be at the top of the replacement list should you
wish to return in the future.

c. Host Website
The league will be hosted on ESPN due to its widespread usage and
easy to use app. While it is far from being the most customizable host
site, it is the most trouble-free.

d. Payouts
$400 x 12 teams = $4,800 (-$20 for draft board)
1st Place - $2,000
2nd Place - $1,200
3rd Place - $400
Weekly High Score - $780 ($60 per week regular season only)
Season Top Scorer - $200
Survivor - $200 (Lowest scoring team in Week 1 is eliminated, then
Week 2, etc. until 1 team remains. If two teams tie for the low score
that week they will both be eliminated)

2. LEAGUE SETUP

a. Format
The league format will make use of a Victory Points (VP) system
designed to combine the features of both "head to head" and "king of
the hill" formats. This will serve to both alleviate some of the suffering
incurred during a "bad beat" as well as offsetting "shitty wins." The VP
system should also create more excitement and suspense as owners
jockey for position heading into the post season. Please carefully read
the following explanation of this system:
Winning your weekly head to head matchup will award you 2 Victory
Points while a loss will net you 0 points. The top 4 scoring teams for
the week will be awarded 2 Victory Points, the middle 4 teams will be
awarded 1 Victory Point, and the bottom 4 will receive 0 Victory Points.
In the rare event that two teams have a tied weekly score and are on
the edge of one of the above mentioned four-team brackets, they will
be awarded the higher Victory Points. (i.e. Team A and Team F both
scored 128.8 points for the week and tied as the 4th highest scoring
teams; they will both be rewarded 2 points for being in the top 1/3 in
scoring. Then the next 3 teams will receive 1 point, and the bottom 4
teams will receive 0.)
These points will be tracked by the Commissioner via an Excel
spreadsheet. The LM note will be updated weekly with a screenshot of
the spreadsheet. Ignore the default ESPN standings, they are
irrelevant.

b. Roster Size
The starting lineup will be made up of the following spots:
QB 1 (Max 3)
RB 2
WR 3
TE 1
FLEX RB/WR/TE 1
DEF 1 (Max 2)
Bench spots 6
IR 1 (player must be ruled "Out" or "Injured Reserve")

c. Scoring
See the league website for a complete breakdown of player scoring. A
printed copy of scoring settings will be provided at the draft.

d. Divisions
There are no divisions in this league. Everyone will play every other
team at least once throughout the season and there are no bye weeks.
Since there are 11 other teams and 13 weeks in the fantasy season,
the extra two games will be random opponents.
e. Tie Breakers
In the event of a weekly tie score in a head-to-head matchup the
following order will be used as a tie breaker: most starting lineup
touchdowns > flex player points > bench points.

3. DRAFT INFORMATION

a. Date/Place
The draft will be scheduled as close to the start of the regular season
as possible. It will be at my house, 315 Campbell Street, Woodbridge.
All owners will be notified of the exact date/time as the season
approaches.

b. Draft Order
Team owners will be picked from a hat at random. The first owner
picked will get their choice of which draft position they want. The
second name pulled will then get to pick from the remaining spots and
so on until the last team is placed in the last remaining position. If you
are late to the draft and the drawing begins without you, your name
will be removed from the hat and you will be given the last remaining
draft position. If multiple owners are late they will get to choose their
position on a first come first serve basis after the hat drawing is
complete.

c. Draft Rules
You must select at least enough players at each position to fulfill the
starting roster (i.e. if you are in the final round and do not have a
D/ST you may not select another position player). Keep in mind the
set maximums of each position. Also make your picks in a timely
fashion. Although there is no running timer at the draft, one may be
implemented if certain owners are causing an issue.

4. TRADES, WAIVERS, AND FREE AGENCY

a. Trade Deadline
The trade deadline will be Week 10, meaning that once the first Week
10 game kicks off, no more trades will be accepted. Trades can
processed after the deadline as long as they were accepted before and
are approved by the commissioner.

b. Veto System
Trades will only be vetoed at the discretion of the commissioner. As
long as there are no signs of collusion a trade will most likely be
allowed.

c. Waivers
Prior to the 2016 season a league-wide poll was taken regarding the
waiver system. It was decided by a 7-5 vote that owners prefer a
FAAB (free agent acquisition budget), or "blind bidding" system.
This system replaces the traditional waivers by giving each franchise a
$100 (not actual money) budget for the season. Each week owners
can place their bids for players until approximately 0000hrs on
Wednesday; this allows you plenty of time to place your bids for the
week. Players will be awarded to the owner who has bid the most for
him, after which, that amount will be deducted from the winning
owner's initial $100 budget. These bids are "blind" meaning that no
owner can see what any other owner is bidding. There is no minimum
bid and you are free to bid as much as you have remaining in your
budget. If two owners place an identical bid for the same player, the
tie breaker will be as follows: VP > Overall winning percentage >
Points scored.

d. Free Agents
Following the completion of the weekly bidding process all remaining
players will become true free agents available on a first come first
serve basis. These players can be added and dropped by any owner
without consequence to their budget. There will be no limit to the
amount of free agents an owner can pick up throughout the season.
Players that are dropped after the initial bidding period will then be
placed up for auction for 24 hours prior to becoming a free agent. This
is intended to give every owner a fair shot at securing every player as
opposed to giving an edge to someone that has access to a
computer/app as soon as the initial claims are processed. Once a
players game kicks off he will be locked for the week.

5. PLAYOFFS

a. Seeding
Victory Points will be the primary determining factor for playoff
seeding. If two or more teams end the season with the same amount
of Victory Points the following tie breakers will be used to determine
the playoff participants and seeding: overall winning percentage (W/L)
> regular season points scored > most weeks as high score

b. Playoffs
Playoffs will begin in Week 14 and consist of the 6 teams with the
most Victory Points. The top two seeds will receive a first round bye
and automatically advance to the second round.
The first two rounds of the playoffs will be a free-for-all format,
meaning that there will be no head to head matchups in week 14 or
15. The two teams with the most points scored in round one will
advance to round two along with the two teams who received a bye.
The top two scoring teams in round two will advance to the head to
head championship. The two losing teams from round two will play a
head to head consolation game for 3rd place during championship
week.
