Kudu has composite textile capacities with trend sensitive technology for yarn
dyeing, Fabric dyeing, fabric printing, processing, apparel manufacturing, piece dyeing,
embroidery And home furnishing.
Kudu is leading the transformation in fine knits industry with its generic branding
initiative for Knitted fabrics. The brand aims at repositioning fine knits as a valuable
possession i.e. smart and supple.
KUDU was Established in 1952 by Mr. Krishan Kumar Mittal (Chairman), Kudu group
has come a long way in the knitting industry. For his new and innovative ideas Mr.
Krishan Kumar Mittal has been honored with Udyog Patra Award for being a Self-
made industrialist in the year 2002.

With the younger generation taking charge, the group is exploring new opportunities by
inheriting rich knitting expertise and combining it with latest technology trends. Now
being headed by Mr. Vipin Mittal and Kudu group is also making a foray into the home
furnishing market apart from the clothing and textile industry.
Elaborating beyond every feasible dimension of excellence we now have units of Yarn
Dyeing, Knitting, Fabric Dyeing, Processing, Garment Manufacturing and home
furnishings as well.
The main aim of Kudu Knit Process is to serve their suppliers by cutting cost and
improving quality.

It starts with spinning of raw wool, acrylic or other fibers that are sourced from
outside Ludhiana. Scouring, a cleaning operation is carried out locally for wool
by medium or upper end of small scale spinning units before spinning the yarn.
This yarn is then supplied to the industry for further operations. The larger hosiery
units buy the yarn from spinning units directly or through traders and then send it
to dyeing units for dyeing in different shades. Small units buy different shades from
traders who stock these for retail
Yarn is wound over cardboard cones. Knitting the yarn into fabric is done through
hand operated flat knitting machines, semiautomatic or fully computerized
knitting machines. Different designs are made on the fabric through these knitting
machines manually or mechanically depending upon the machine used. Generally
a master craftsman is employed for making designs for flat machines (hand driven
and mechanical both). In computerized machines, design inputs are fed through
available software programs.
The fabric then undergoes milling process in which fabric is dipped in chemicals
and soap. This process softens the fabric. It then by most of the hosiery units on
piece rate basis. After cutting
And tailoring, gets ready for cutting and tailoring, which is generally done in-
house, manufactured garments undergo washing or dry-cleaning. Visual checking
is done before packing them into boxes.

PROCESSES OF KUDU
Yarn dyeing
Kudu Yarn Dyeing unit is equipped with imported yarn-dyeing machine ranging from 15 Kg
up to 1400Kg capacity. The machines are capable of dyeing 10 tonnes of yarn per day in
cotton, polyester, polyester-cotton, polyester-viscose and polyester-spun and other blended
yarns.

Garment Unit
Kudu garments rolls into 21st century with a capacity to produce 5000
garments per day from its most modern machines imported from Juki &
Pegasus of Japan. We have ambitious plans to enhance garment
production capacity and carve a niche in not so distant future. Kudu's hip,
cool & trendy range of designer garments for men, women & kids are
created by its team of highly professional fashion designers. Strict
supervision at different stages of production ensures best quality of the
end product.

Research & Development
Kudu can produce up to 200 tonnes of knitted fabric in any desired pattern per month
from its more than 75 circular knitting machines each performing its own unique function.
