INTRODUCTION

Flotation circuit design has been studied

previously. Previous studies are conditioned
by the circuit, i.e. the number and type of
stage and their interrelationship.

The objective of these research is propose a

design methodology using real data obtained
from laboratory experiences within a model
that allows to introduce more number of
species than previous researches.

RESULTS AND DISCUSSION
Optimal structure obtained from the optimization. Change the scavenger 1 and
scavenger 2 concentrate stream. This structure with the metallurgical disjunction will
improve the concentration plant.
RESULTS AND DISCUSSION
Results of grade and recovery comparing the mine and the model optimization.
Different residence times were tested to know which one is the best. Its convenient to
reduce the residence time. The best residence time is at 5 minutes

RESULTS AND DISCUSSION
Different metallurgical parameters are calculated depending on the residence time.
This table shows the results from 1 to 10 minutes of residence time. The disjunctions
of 5 minutes are chosen.

CONCLUSION
An optimal circuit design was achieved with the best condition for
each stage.

Because the mathematical model optimizes the Circuit design and

operational condition at the same time, it makes it difficult to solve
using commercial solver for mathematical programming. Despite
the model has a lot of circuit design choices very few changes were
made out between the model and mine design.
