General Summary

Name: Aflatoxin M

Description: If cows eat grains contaminated with Aflatoxin B1 then they can form a source of the
toxin M1 in milk and in milk products. Aflatoxin B1 is converted in the liver to Aflatoxin
M1.
Weather conditions during growing and especially during flowering have a major
influence on the toxin level.
Type: chemical

Severity: high
