LEANING ON GOD

So now, go. I am sending you to Pharaoh to bring my people, the Israelites out of
Egypt. (Exodus 3:10)

A stuttering man, who had to ask his brother to be his interpreter, confronted
the most powerful king on the earth. This man knew how to move the hand of God.
The most extraordinary acts of judgment came upon that nation and devastated
them completely. This same man, with a rod in his hand as his only weapon, faced
the most powerful army on the earth. With one gesture everyone was destroyed,
including the king. I am referring to Moses, when God called him to go before
Pharaoh. Moses had to command him to let Gods people go so that they could
worship Him in the desert for three days. However, God warned him that Pharaohs
heart would become hardened and would not allow them to go. God also told Moses
not to worry because He was going to do miracles in the land of Egypt and then they
would be released to go. Moses didnt think about forming an army to fight in a
physical way against Pharaohs armies. He simply waited on God and did everything
he was commanded. When the final act of judgment came upon the nation of Egypt,
God told Moses the steps that they were to take, and immediately gave him specific
instructions. The Lord equipped His people with the most powerful spiritual
weapons that the Israelites had ever known. Those instructions were based on the
sacrifice of a lamb, and the celebration of the Passover feast. The blood of the lamb
that was applied on the lintel and the two doorposts of each house was the only
weapon that would overcome the angel of death. All of these things were actually a
symbol of the sacrifice of Jesus Christ on the Cross.

SOMETHING TO THINK ABOUT

Fabio, a Brazilian young man, again and again had to face, shyness, a great
giant in his life. Because of this, he would always isolate himself. When he did show
up he was seated at the back of the church. It was extremely difficult for him to
relate to others, even with his classmates. His parents did not know what to do with
him. The church people had many questions about the situation. Eight years ago, his
parents motivated him to attend one of our conventions. Even though he accepted
going, he felt reluctant. In one of the sessions, he was seated in the stands while
listening to a teaching. It was then, when the Word of God began to minister in the
depths of his heart. When he tried to get to the front to be prayed for, he simply
could not get there because he fell under the power of God. And when he got up, he
realized he had been completely changed into another man. He knew he had been
transformed and that he had recovered his self-identity. When he went back to his
country, most people were very surprised at the changes in his life and wanted to
know where Fabio had been. He talked with his parents and told them that he
wanted to assume the responsibility of leading the youth in the church. His parents
agreed with him, and gave their support to their son. In a very short time, though
having only a few people, he was able to organize a ministry of hundreds of youth
who were faithfully involved in the things of God.

PRAYER

Dear God, thank You for showing me that You are always present in my life.
And that in any difficulty I could ever find myself in, when I declare Your name, You
will fight for me. Thank You for teaching me the power of visualization, and also
how to back up the word that I speak to overcome every work of the enemy. Thank
You for defending us and keeping us protected through the powerful blood of Jesus.
Amen.

DECLARATION

Because I can see the enemys defeat in the spiritual realm, I declare that I am
more than a conqueror in the name of Jesus.
