Key Skills
Team work
I was a House Captain in Year 13. This meant that I had to work with the
other prefects to ensure the smooth running of many events, as well as
motivate my house to participate and succeed in these events.
I am an active member of the rugby community and know what it takes to
make a successful team on the sporting field.
Time management
Tight deadlines with school work means that I have had to manage my
time to make sure that I get all my work done.
In my final year of school, I had a lot of extra curricular activities to balance
with my school work which taught me to prioritise.
Academic achievement
I have successfully attained the National Certificate in Educational
Achievement (NCEA) Level 3.
I studied a broad range of subjects at Level 3, including Mathematics with
Statistics and Workshop Technology.
Reliable
Excellent attendance record at school over five years.
Always on time and ready to work.
Employment History
Nov 2006 Harrison Building
Downtown City
I wanted to get to experience the building and construction industry when I
went on my Year 13 work experience, so I was very glad when Harrison
Building agreed to give me a work experience placement for a week. I
spent this time assisting a qualified builder on site, I helped out with general
labouring tasks and I was also given the chance to spend some time in the
site office assisting the Construction Site Manager with invoices and
general data entry. This helped me decide that I wanted to work in the
building and construction industry and to have a career goal of becoming a
Construction Site Manager.
Interests
I am very interested in rugby, and have played since I was seven years old
I like to spend time with my friends and family
I also like to spend my free time practising guitar
