Job analysis

Being we are going to start a new firm thats why the CEO of SMARTs Mr. Syed Ali Hassan
who had 20 years experience about all kinds and requirements of fashion industry, thought to
start a new boutique. In which he is in need of top management as well as subordinates too. The
currently require jobs to him a board of directors and VP of which includes:

The skills, knowledge and ability needed for it includes a special education criteria some sort

Job Description

As a statement indicates what a job entails so here we will mention that CEO of SMART have
to control all the management related functions either which relate to finance marketing and
many other things. He will also responsible to build companys image and urge other companies
to make contract with us. He as we know the owner of the company so he will be liable of all the
profit and the losses earned by the company. But however we are managing as that he will be
enjoying with Rs. 70,000 salary against his services.

VP Finance

She has to manage all the finance of the organization including the current fixed tangible and
intangible assets of the organization and she will be blessed with a salary package of Rs.

VP Marketing

She will be responsible to advertise market and communicate the goods and services produced

He will be responsible to make the contract with suppliers and have a check and balance on

Selection Process
We start selection process after the recruiting process and start hiring persons on the basis of
their skills, qualification, tactics and other important features for this they have to go through
some tests that we have made for their selection. We start selecting people after that they went
through these procedures of the selection which we describe below.

Initial Screening:
We have got 35 applications for each category through which we start our initial screening. In
initial screening we give the full description of job and also detailed job specification which
make easier for applicants if they satisfied with this they will continue applying for the job. For
upper level jobs like VP finance, marketing, sales, research and development and manufacturing
their degrees should be equal to MBA with their specialized in their subjects and for others like
sales and accountant should also have done masters in commerce or have done MBA. For lower
level employees like cutters, tailors, designers and embroider we will ask in it about their
qualifications from the suitable university and college of fashion designing, their abilities in
fashion designing and skills about it. The most importantly we also put our attractive salary
packages which will also make their decision even easier. After the whole initial screening we
have 20 applicants for each category.

Comprehensive Interviews:
After initial screening we sat out comprehensive interviews for our employees. These interviews
will be helpful in assessing candidate motivation, values, abilities, attitude and their concern
about getting the job. Our interview will be behavioral interview we judge the candidate from
their acts that how they treat the situation under stress. Its necessary because these days there is
so much of competition of boutique in country and they are running well we will have to heir our
employees according to it so they will compete and helpful in making our boutique established.

Realistic Job Interviews:


We use realistic information according to job that will be helpful in candidate for going further
for this specified job. It also strength the candidate point of view about job because he or she will
learn the negative and positive aspects of the job. Due to it the selection of them will become
easier and the motivated and well concerned candidate will be selected and will also reduce the
turnover in the boutique and help in establishing boutique.

Conditional Job Offers:


During the selection process we will select some candidates on some conditions that they have to
fulfill during specified time period. If they fulfill those conditions we put in front of them than
we will permanent their jobs. These were those employees which make us hesitate to select them
immediately for permanent job we have some concerns about them. We give them 15000Rs
package per month and during their job period we will observe them and finalized them for
future working in our company as permanent job or not.

Background Investigation:
We will also investigate the candidate background that it will not create issues during the mid of
the work. We will investigate about certain things like:

Their previous working background.
Educational accomplishments.
Their criminal record.
Their legal status.

After going through all above steps when we found certain candidates that we thought suitable
for our boutique we will give them job offers which depend on various factors like that their
appointment for the job nature will describe their salary packages and other compensations
according to it. At the time being 50 applicants fulfill our job requirements so we hire them for
permanent job. In them upper management to lower level employees are hired.

Reliability and Validity

Through comprehensive interview, employment test and getting background information we


assure that final members of each category are reliable and valid to our job.

As the validity is an important element which is related to the selection now we have to check
the validity of these candidates to whom we are going to offer permanent job offer but the
question is that how we can check the reliability of new employee but human resource
management represents the solution of these problems by producing these methods of validity.

We initially have check the validity of candidates their initial screening interviews employment
test and construct validity in which we have given a trait to our candidates of different types.1st of
all we have to check their trust worthiness which we have check by letting or throwing the

Initially we are going to this project only in Pakistan so there is no need to fulfill the

We provide 2 days orientation program to our new employee. As to develop new boutique we
owners arrange orientation for our employees to make them aware about our boutique plans,
visions, criteria of working, working hours, how to manage things, working environment, how to
collaborate with customers, how to meet the need, we give job description fully in it that will
help the employee to work. This will also helpful increasing moral of employees and motivate
them for their work
