Advantages and disadvantages of E-Learning

The use of technology had become in an attraction for didactics today so this
popular expression is empowering its name and being commonly used between all the
new educational leaders and elements. In other words, we could say that teachers and
students are sharing and acquiring information encompassing the use of the internet and
other important technologies to produce materials for learning, teach learners, and also
regulate courses in an organization or schools.

First, it is necessary to mention that in 2017 educational system in our country is

progressing and the development of multimedia and information technologies, as well as
the use internet as a new technique of teaching, has made radical changes in the traditional
process of teaching, for this circumstance E-learning has generated more choices for
todays education. On the other hand, e-learning or sometimes electronic learning is
distributed in two types named computer based and Internet based E-learning, E-learning
is also a term which is commonly used, but does not have a common definition. Most
frequently it seems to be used for web-based distance education, with no face to face
interaction.

Second, like in every aspect, new tendency, method or strategy there are some
pros and cons, focusing on the adoption of E-learning in education, we could mention the
following. Some studies give advantage of e-learning as its ability to focus on the needs
of individual learners, It is flexible when issues of time and place are taken into
consideration. Every student has the luxury of choosing the place and time that suits
him/her, the flexibility of time and place of delivery or receipt of according to learning

Information, E-learning always takes into consideration the individual learners

differences, students can choose the most interesting subject, social equality is equal
chance to get education in spite of residence, health status and financial statement.

Then, it is required to talk about the disadvantages about E-learning, lack of social
contact between a teacher and students, possible gaps, poor understanding of the content
of training due to insufficient tutors monitoring, requirements for good technical
equipment, the goal cannot be achieved in training if there is no well-organized
counseling.

Finally, we could say that every student and teacher have the opportunity to
choose the best tools to improve and make progress in education and adapt them to their
necessities and rhythm of work, considering that in every tool there are advantages and
disadvantages, however this issues contribute to our creativity to fill those gaps in
didactics.
