Introduction
Bullying is something that can hurt you on the inside or on the outside. It hurts you on the
outside by hitting you and hurting you physically. It hurts you on the inside by name calling,
skitting or hurting your feelings. Bullying is done on purpose, its not an accident. If someone
hurts you during a game by accident that is not bullying, but if every time you played a game
they hurt you, or your feelings that you would be bullied. It can aim to hurt a group of people or
just one person and can be done by a group or just one person. Bullying happens more than once.
The bully/bullies do it over and over again and they can take away your self-esteem and
confidence. Almost everyone will be affected by bullying during their life. This can be as a child
or as a young person or it can happen as an adult in work, it can even be as an elderly person in
the community.
Bullying affects the ability for students to learn in an effective manner. Students need to
feel safe and secure physically, emotionally and socially before learning can
occur. Bullying actions by peers in and outside of the school environment can negatively affect
students abilities to learn. Therefore, it is vital that the schools implement a comprehensive anti-
world. It can take many direct and indirect forms, including physical violence, name-calling,
taunting, teasing, malicious rumour-spreading and social exclusion. Once thought of as a normal
part of growing up, school bullying is now widely recognized as a serious problem that must be
met with systematic preventative efforts. This article examines the nature, prevalence, and effects
of school bullying. It discusses profiles of bullies and victims, and explores the most effective
To prevent and stop bullying, we must first understand it. In the instantaneous electronic
world of youth culture, bullying is like a virus or other diseases that have proven difficult to
eradicate: spreading rapidly, constantly mutating, virtually impossible to quarantine. States and
districts are increasingly in support of policies and practices that shift school discipline away
from zero tolerance, such as suspension and expulsion, to discipline that is focused on teaching
and engagement.
Our aim in conducting this research is to know how to prevent bullyin, what is the reason
why a bully becomes a bully, how to stop bullies from bullying, what area the side effects of
bullying and how bullied persons overcome bullying? We would like to know how the bullying
