LEARNING OUTCOME:
PLO 1: Apply technical knowledge and social science / humanities knowledge to well
defined electrical and electronic engineering problems and to the personality

THEORY:
PRE-LAB:
Read this document, especially the Experimental Work section. Search the internet and
grasp as much as possible the material before going to the lab.
1. From the schematic diagram below (Figure A), draw the wiring diagram completely and
calculate the cable length.
2. Define what the POLARITY TEST complete with the aids of diagram.
NOTE:
Bring references, text books, internet materials to the lab.
Students/Group leader has to get your instructor to approve all your PRE-LAB work before
commencing the experiment. Submit the pre-lab work together with the report.

2. Differentiate each cable which is Live (L), Neutral (N) and Earth (E) using different
colour.
