Thanks

First, I want to thank my family.

Because we preached the message of this book and The Book the Bible Because we
preached that God would make humanity in His image with his Word, Who would not fail;
that the deepest story is original blessing and not original sin; that God is unquenchable,
relentless and all-powerful Love Because we preached, my family suffered the loss of
friendships and a life that had felt rather secure. Thank you, Susan, Jonathan, Elizabeth,
Rebekah and Coleman for loving me so well.

And Thank You, Sanctuary. The Sanctuary is my church in Colorado. Many at the
Sanctuary suffered loss as well, but they believed in the Good News of Gods relentless
Love. And when I felt profoundly spent, broken and ashamed, they picked me up, set me
on my feet and asked me to keep speaking. Thank you, Sanctuary.

And Thank You to those who questioned this message. You caused me to dig deeper and to
put my faith in God and his Word. If it was Truth in you, it was Christ in you.

And Thank You to Chris and Ginger Payne. To me you loaned your house on the mountain
for a month. At the refuge I wrote this book.

And Thank You to Steve and Karla Mercer. You were behind the scenes making this all
happen.

And Thank You to Nate Bullis, my friend and copy editor, and Duncan Sprague, my friend
and cover designer.

And Thank You to Ben Sullivan for all your help with this book and for making
a Downside Up film that beautifully illustrates the main point.

And Thank You most of all to you, God!

You are better than I thought.

The Love of Jesus is deeper than I know.
And the Spirit is everywhere working the wonders of Mercy.
