Main objective of the course
The course introduces fundamental principles and
concepts of electrical and electronic circuits.

It is expected to equip our students knowledge


and experience to analyse and build fundamental
electrical and electronic circuits for practical
applications

Voltage, Current, and Resistance in DC Circuits

Ohms Law, Energy, and Power in DC Circuits

Resistors, Capacitors, and Inductors

Series, Parallel, and Series-Parallel DC Circuits

Network Theorems and Circuit Analysis Methods for DC circuits

Introduction to AC circuits

Transformers and Operational Amplifiers (OpAmps)

Introduction to Semiconductor Diodes and Bipolar Junction Transistors

Course Learning Outcomes
By Successful completion of this Course you will be able to:
Understand the basic electrical concepts and practical use of
electrical components such as resistors, capacitors, inductors
Construct and analyse parameters of basic and advanced DC
circuits and basic AC circuits.
Understand and apply the operating principles of transformers and
Operational Amplifiers (OpAmps)
Understand and apply basic concepts of semiconductors, diodes,
and Bipolar Junction Transistors (BJTs).
