LAN BASED HUMAN RESOURCES

MANAGEMENT SYSTEM FOR
HR DEPARTMENT
Area of Investigation

This proposed system entitled Lan Based Human Resources Management System is a
computer based system that will enhance the management capability of businesses employees data
in a time efficient way that deals with the needs of the company, its processes, and goals for both
long term and short term, It merges human resources as a discipline and, in particular, its basic HR
activities and processes with the information technology field. Typically, this management system
addresses your HR and Payroll needs from hire to retirement. Through this system, Managing
Payroll, Recruitment and on boarding of employees, Gathering, Storing and Accessing employee
information, Keeping attendance records and tracking absenteeism, Performance Evaluation,
Benefits Administration, and Employee Scheduling are now easy. This management system consists
of these following main modules.

Employee Profile Management is used to maintain the employees details such as modifying
the existing employee and deleting the existing employee. Then, the Attendance Monitoring Module
is used to monitor the attendance using biometrics. While, Leave Tracking contains the information
about the employees leave details like medical and vacation leave. Payroll Management System
organizes all the tasks of employee payment and the filing of employee taxes. Scheduling
Management is use to manage your schedules for the following week. Recruitment and On boarding
is used to recruit new employees and train them into some company trainings and seminars.

As we create this proposal system, these tools and programming languages will help us to
create the best output for this project: In Front End, Microsoft Visual Studio 2010 for the systems
interface and Adobe Photoshop to enhance more the whole interface. While the Back End of the
system is created using C# as our programming language, MySQL Server for our database to store
all the information needed from the employees.
