ADMISSION NOTICE - 2016

The candidates who have been finally allotted seats at Kalyani Government Engineering college for
admission into 1st year B.Tech. are hereby directed to report at the institute on any working day from 11.00 a.m
to 4.00 p.m. within 19.07.2016 with the following fees and documents for final admission. Students are
instructed to follow the said schedule of admission strictly.

The candidate has already deposited Rs.5,000/-( Rs. 4000/- in case of TFW Category of candidates)
at Reporting Centre during allotment of seat. The balance amount out of the total as mentioned
above is to be payable at the cash counter of the institute through a bank draft drawn on any
Nationalized Bank in favour of KGEC-BLOCK GRANT payable at Kalyani. In case of TFW
Category of candidates, the amount to be paid is the amount subtracting the Tuition Fee. The
TFW Category students of ME & EE need not pay any amount during admission. Candidates who
were initially allotted seats in Private Engineering Colleges and deposited Rs. 20,000/- during first
reporting, have to deposit the above fees after deduction of Rs. 5000/- only. The rest amount for
such candidates may be claimed from WBJEEB.

DOCUMENTS REQUIRED AT THE TIME OF ADMISSION

a) ORIGINAL & SELF ATTESTED PHOTOCOPIES of (i) Class X Admit Card , (ii) Class X Mark Sheet, (iii) H.S./
Equivalent Mark Sheet (iv) JEE Admit Card and Rank Card (if applicable) (v)Allotment certificate of WBJEEB (as issued
from Reporting Centre) and (vii) Caste Certificate(if any )

b) ORIGINAL CHARACTER CERTIFICATE from the Head of the institution last attended (Keep one attested photocopy
with your own custody)

c) IN CASE OF BREAK OF STUDIES, a self declaration certificate is to be submitted by the student and
countersigned by the guardian

d) ORIGINAL ANNUAL INCOME CERTIFICATE OF FATHER/GUARDIAN(optional except for TFW Candidates) :

should have been issued by an Officer of the State Government in the Rank of Block Development Officer or Sub-
Divisional Officer or Additional District Magistrate or District Magistrate / Group-A Gazetted Officer of State or Central
Government of similar Rank or above .

e) Domicile Certificate : The Domicile Certificate as applicable should be obtained from any of the following competent
authorities (i) District Magistrate, (ii) Additional District Magistrate, (iii) Deputy Magistrate and Deputy Collector, (iv)
Sub-Divisional Officer, (v) Block Development Officer, (vi) Superintendent of Police , (vii) Additional Superintendent
of Police, (viii) Sub-Divisional Police Officer or Deputy Superintendent of Police, (ix) Commissioner, Additional
Commissioner, Joint Commissioner, Deputy Commissioner, Assistant Commissioner of Police Commissionerate , (x)
Judicial Magistrate of any rank or position in the concerned district of Metropolitan locality or Judges/Judicial
Officers of Honble High Court at Kolkata or Honble Supreme Court of India, (xi) Commissioner, Joint
Commissioner, Additional Commissioner, Assistant Commissioner of Municipal Corporation, (xii) Executive Officer of
Municipality, (xiii) Assistant Secretary /equivalent or above in the Secretariat to the Government. of West Bengal
(including GTA) or Central Government , (xiv) Deputy Director or above in the Directorate to the Government of
West Bengal or Central Government

f) ORIGINAL MIGRATION CERTIFICATE - Students who are studying in any College affiliated to University other than
West Bengal University of Technology (WBUT) need to submit Migration Certificate during admission

g) 2 (two) COPIES STAMP SIZE COLOUR PHOTOGRAPH ( without attestation ) with full signature
on the back side

h) FITNESS CERTIFICATE for General, Health & Eye to be produced from a Registered Medical Practitioner .
The Certificate of Blood Group is to be obtained from a authorized laboratory and submitted during admission.

i) Students need to submit TWO affidavits as per Annexure-I and Annexure-II in a non-
judicial stamp paper of Rs. 10/- before an Oath Commissioner

Note: Admission will be refused if original Certificates/Documents, affidavits and corresponding

self-attested photocopies of certificates/documents are not presented /submitted at the
time of admission.

ADMISSION TO HOSTEL

Hostel Facilities : Hostel seats are limited.

Procedure for admission : Intending students will be admitted into hostel at the time of college admission. For that purpose,
they have to deposit the following amount by Demand Draft :

a) For Boys Hostel : a DD of Rs 9,500/- in favour of KGEC-A.P.C. ROY HALL payable at Kolkata

b) For Girls Hostel : a DD of ` 9,500/- in favour of KGEC-Pritilata Chhatrinibas Fund payable at Kolkata

It may be noted that once admitted, a student has to stay in the hostel upto the end of the semester examination compulsorily.
The amount paid will be adjusted accordingly.
