exciting school year.

INDIVIDUAL STRUCTURED LEARNING ENVIRONMENT (I.S.L.E)The I.S.L.E. support classroom is

designed to serve students receiving Special Education services, grades K-12, who demonstrate significant
deficits in social interactions, communication, emotional regulation, and organization. The students may also
display difficulty with inflexibility and misinterpretation of others behaviors. These deficits are such that they
adversely affect the students educational and social successes even with the use of other supplementary aids
and services. These deficits occur across the school, home and community environments, resulting in a need for
specialized instruction and training as well as individualized behavior intervention strategies.

Guest Teacher Expectations:

We are not absent very often, but when we are, it is expected that ALL students follow the classroom/school
rules and expectations. If a students name is left from the Guest Teacher as being disrespectful, disruptive, etc,
appropriate infractions will be awarded. Please note, guest teachers do not always document classroom
occurrences. If another teacher names a student for negative/positive behavior, they will have appropriate
consequences/rewards.

Returning from an Absence

This is an example of what I say. Work: If students are absent, they must make sure they check the designated
Absent station to obtain the work that was missed. Students have twice the amount of days they were absent
to turn in the work. For example, if students were absent one day, they have two days to turn in the work. If
students were absent three days, they have six days to turn in missed work.
Students need to make sure they write Absent on the work turned in so that they are not penalized. It is
strongly suggested that students attend homework club to make up missing work due to an absence.

Use of School property including electronics:

Students are responsible for school property while it is in their possession, if something is damaged when a
student receives the school property, they must report it immediately. Any school property that is damaged, the
student/parents are responsible for repair/reparations.

Parental Involvement
I love volunteers please let me know if you want to help in the class room or if you can just help at your
house. It takes us all working together in order help run a classroom.

Bullying/Harassment
Under no circumstances should a child feel unsafe when coming to or attending school. If there are any
instances of bullying, please inform the teacher or any adult on campus so it can be addressed.

Donations
I would really appreciate classroom donations for the year, we are always needing the following: Kleenex,
pencils, pens, expo markers, paper, and hand sanitizer.

I have received, read, and understand insert your name here policies on the syllabus. Furthermore, I understand
that the student is responsible for adhering to all the policies mentioned.
