Wa bisawmi ghadinn nawaiytu

.‫َو ِس َع ْت ُك َّل َش ْي ٍء أَ ْن تَ ْغ ِف َرلِي‬
‘When you are about to eat, you should say:
I intend to keep the fast for tomorrow in the

(ii) Bismillāhi fi awwalihi wa ākhirihi
‫ َوثَبَ َت‬،‫وق‬ ِ ‫ َوابْتَل‬،ُ‫الظمأ‬
ُ ‫َّت ال ُْع ُر‬ َ َّ ‫َذ َه َب‬
‘In the Name of Allāh in it’s beginning and end.’

.ُ‫األَ ْج ُر إِ ْن َش َاء اهلل‬ at someone’s home

‫ْح ْم ُد لهلِ ِ ال َِّذي أ َْط َع َمنِي َه َذا َو َر َزقَنِ ِيه‬
Dhahabadh-dhama’u wab-tallatil ‘urūqi,
َ ‫الصائ ُمو َن َوأَ َك َل ط‬
‫َع َام ُك ُم‬ َّ ْ ْ َ
َ ‫ال‬ wa thabatal arju inshā’Allāh
.‫َّت َعلَيْ ُك ُم ال َْمآلئِ َك ُة‬
ْ ‫ َو َصل‬،‫األَبْ َر ُار‬
.‫ِم ْن َغيْ ِر َح ْو ٍل ِمنِّي َوالَ قُ َّو ٍة‬ The thirst has gone and the veins are quenched,
and reward is confirmed, if Allāh wills. Aftara ‘indakumus sā’imūna,
Alhamdulillāhil adhī at’amanī hādha wa razaqanīhi (Abū Dāwūd) wa akala ta’āmakumul-abrāru,
min ghayri hawlin minnī walā quwatti
‫َك ُص ْم ُت َوبِ َك‬
wasallat ‘alaikumul malā’ikat
َ ‫لله َّم إنِّ ْي ل‬
ُ َ‫ا‬
‘All praise is for Allāh who fed me this and
.‫أَ َمنْ ُت َو َعلَى ِر ْزقِ َك أَْف َط ْر ُت‬
‘May the fasting break their fast in your home,
provided it for me without any might nor power and may the dutiful and pious eat your food, and
from myself.’ may the angels send prayers upon you.’
Allāhumma innī laka sumtu wa bika amantu (Abū Dāwūd, Ibn Majah, an Nasā’ī)
wa ‘alā rizqika aftartu
