Aleister's 'Young Life' Profile

Welcome to Aleister's profile. It is written with the intent of giving concerned parties in general,
an idea of Aleister's character, talents, needs and wants. This knowledge will help point Aleister
in the right direction. This profile requires an accurate birth time. If you do not know the exact
time of birth some of the information may not be completely relevant although the overall view
will still be valid.

This profile is divided into a number of sections - detailed below - to make it easier to read and
understand.

When reading this you will find both the positive and negative qualities of Aleister defined. Most
people will be happy to learn about the positive ones, while others may get upset over the
negative ones. Contradictions will always appear in a person. They are what give us our

The Sun signifies our inner sense of identity, and our will. It is the single most important planet
in our birth chart and generally describes what we are seeking to become through the journey of
life, or perhaps our 'destiny'.

Despite the fact that Libra - Aleister's Sun sign - is represented by the Scales, Aleister will only
rarely achieve a state of balance!
In fact, he is likely to be quite the opposite. His mood and opinion will swing first one way - then
the opposite - then back again - until, in time, a balanced result is obtained. The process of
striving for balance can be long, for Aleister will have to explore all the options and consider all
the possibilities before coming to a decision.

His god is logic. He will subject everything in life to his reasoning processes, discounting feelings
and mistrusting intuition, relying only on rationale.

This is not to imply that Aleister will grow into some sort of coldly calculating robot, however. The
ruler of his Sun sign is Venus, a planet whose gentle nature will encourage him to relate and
reconcile; to make bridges.

Making bridges can be achieved by words, and Aleister will be the tactful diplomat of the family,
achieving much through gentle persuasion and subtle negotiation. He will be skilled at weighing
and assessing all the sides of a situation in order to reach a fair result or a judicious verdict. He
would make a good negotiator or arbitrator, and do well in public relations or the Law.

But, to Aleister, the most important way of building bridges will be through personal
relationships, and Venus will influence him to seek balance through the opposite medium of a
partner.

This translates into romantic attraction! Aleister has a very strong need to form relationships, to
give and to receive affection, and to 'relate' to another. Through a partner, he will in some way
be able to 'validate' himself, and better express his sense of 'self'.

decoration or design of some kind. He may plump for soft pastels or cool, sophisticated shades

knowledge and understanding. Aleister will seek to establish a wise and philosophical approach to

an adult. Fortunately, his innate sense of style and grace will always see him through - basically

his father. However this may well be more applicable to Aleister's Mother. Generally one or other
of the parents has the strongest influence in developing Aleister's approach to the outside world.
Traditionally this has been the father's role but it could perfectly well apply to his Mother, hence

Aleister will see his father as elegant, eloquent, and generally rather stylish and sophisticated.
The problem is that this is not enough on which to base a relationship, and Aleister may come to
see his father as a trifle superficial. Or he might adopt these characteristics, as he gets older as a

Astrologically, the Moon describes our responses, sensitivity, our feeling nature, and the
unconscious side of our personality. It shows our emotions and these, of course, will be filtered,
or coloured, by the sign in which the Moon falls. Most importantly, the Moon shows our needs.

It shows how we will react on an instinctive level.

Aleister needs sympathy, dreams and peace.

Extremely sensitive, he is often at the mercy of his emotions, and will find it difficult to make
harsh decisions. A dedicated collector of 'lame dogs', he will be attracted to the flawed and the
damaged, finding purpose in restoring them to wholeness again.

With his vivid imagination, he is likely to be musical or artistic in some way. Aleister is
immeasurably kind and compassionate, but he may have a tendency to manipulate others in
order to have his needs met.

Aleister's relationship with his Mother

It is important to understand that the relationship between mother and child is always
'symbiotic'. In other words the way Aleister's Mother behaves towards her child and the way
Aleister perceives his mother is so inextricably linked that it is hard to separate the one from the
other. Does Aleister's mother react to Aleister or does Aleister react to his mother? This is
perhaps the original chicken and egg question, and in this section we shall try to address this
issue.

Aleister could be slightly lost in his own world so his mother may find it difficult establishing a
close relationship with him. It is as if he is somehow unavailable to her. This is not malice or
coldness but rather shyness, and sensitivity to the feelings of others. He is frightened of hurting
his mother's feelings, so may often not tell what he is feeling. Or he can be overly dependent on
his mother and unable to leave her side, fretting whenever she goes away. His mother will need
to spend a lot of time with him because of his sensitivity.

To his mother, Aleister might seem a vague and often confused child in a world of his own, while
he may well regard her in a similar light. The best way she can relate with him is to share her
imagination and interest in fantasy; to get lost with him in the world of imagination where the
harsh realities of the world do not impinge. It is vital that this power of imagination be made
good use of because there are other methods of fleeing from reality that are considerably more

Aleister will look to her to teach him as much as possible as early as possible, giving an
impression of being quite precocious. Both Aleister and his mother prefer the relationship

He may be difficult to deal with at times because he gets bored easily, always needing something
stimulating to play and interact with. Fortunately, he is very social by nature and probably can go
to others, which will give his mother time off. In fact he is most happy when there are lots of
people or plenty of activity around him. He is intensely curious by nature and will be constantly
exploring the world around him.

This section looks at how Aleister views the world and likes to be viewed by others. No matter
what Aleister's essential nature may be all of us have a 'face' that we put on for public
consumption and this section describes that 'face'.

Aleister's ascendant/rising sign is Sagittarius
As a child, Aleister is likely to be somewhat clumsy, both in his actions and his speech. Although,
eventually, he may stop falling out of trees or off his bicycle, he is unlikely to grow out of his
Sagittarian tactlessness until he is much older - if at all! It should be stressed, however, that this
tactlessness springs not from malice, nor from a desire to hurt, but from his extreme honesty, for
Aleister has a high regard for the truth.

As a child at school he may lack application, and will be a less than ideal pupil if lessons are dull
and routine. However, if inspired by a teacher who can stimulate his interest and who - more
importantly - acknowledges his intelligence and has faith in his ability to succeed, he will rise to
the challenge, regardless of whether it is intellectual, physical or creative. Aleister is totally
unable to resist a challenge.

"To teach is to learn twice" is a saying, which applies particularly to those born with Sagittarius
rising, and Aleister is likely to display the qualities of a natural teacher, and to have a life-long
thirst for learning and knowledge.

The search for understanding may lead him to explore many philosophies or creeds, and involve
him in many journeys - both of a cerebral and a physical nature. If the latter, Aleister will be
never so happy as when off on his travels, back-packing his way round the world, meeting new
and interesting people and immersing himself in different cultures and communities.

Even if he never sets foot outside his hometown, freedom and personal 'space' will be important
to Aleister. He cannot be tied down, and will find it difficult to make long-term commitment.

The planetary ruler of those born with Sagittarius rising is Jupiter, whose nature is to expand all
it touches, and Aleister may therefore be prone to the 'Jupiterian' trait of exaggeration.

Nothing will ever be so ordinary as 'big': it will be 'GIGANTIC'. Every bruise and ache will be the
worst pain ever endured in the history of human suffering. And practically every sentence he
utters will contain the words 'a million'. The only way to counteract this is to say: "I've told you a

Aleister's chart ruler, Jupiter, is also the planet of optimism and confidence. As a consequence of
this planetary influence, over-estimation of his abilities may lead him to bite off more than he can
comfortably chew, with the end result that he will invariably be in a mad panic to meet deadlines,

Conflict will be no stranger to Aleister. From pram to pension, life will be a series of battles -
exhausting to most people, but gloriously exhilarating to Aleister!

He will be an assertive (often aggressive), pushy, competitive and challenging child, full of
enthusiasm and fiery energy. There may be temper tantrums when he is young.

He has strong leadership qualities, but may lack 'staying power' or the management skills to
support his initiating qualities. Unless his assertion is directed constructively it may turn to anger,
frustration and intolerance.

Competitive sport might work off some of his excess energy, although Aleister may not display a
conventional sporting attitude. Indeed, he may have little concept of fair play. He will hold little
truck with the idea that "the important thing is not whether you win or lose, but how you play the
game". To him, winning is everything and he sees no glory is coming second.

In all he does, he will want to come first. Similarly, he may be able to understand not winning,
but not wanting to win, that's impossible!

Assertion is no problem for Aleister - indeed rather the reverse! He also has such a great deal of
physical energy, there is a need to get him outdoors and involved in some active sport or other to
let off steam - often! Action is his middle name! Overly confident, highly competitive and
impulsive, he usually leaps before he looks and rarely thinks about consequences, which could, of
course, get him into trouble, even accidents.

Driven by his own particular wants, and independent by nature, Aleister tends to think of himself
and forget about his playmates' needs, which could get him into trouble in relationships later. He
is quick to anger but cools off quickly and doesn't hold a grudge.

Friends and social groups

In this section we shall be looking at what sort of friends Aleister needs and what he is likely to

of mental osmosis. He has a strong imagination and a love of fantasy that is likely to be well
suited to the arts.
