MARKSTRAT Online Software Registration Instructions

Accessing Markstrat Online

This note contains information about how to get started with the
Markstrat Online simulation.
1. Purchase a Participant Activation Key (PAK). Each
registered student in the class must purchase a course
license. The cost for this is $65/ person.

Please find below instructions to purchase your Markstrat.6 - Durable

Goods (web) Handbook and Participant Activation Key (PAK) to take
part in the Simulation exercise.

1. Please go to shop.stratxsimulations.com
2. Enter file number: P5925B84
3. You will be asked to register to complete your purchase.
4. Upon purchase, you will automatically be registered in the course

5. You will receive [Paul Ritmo] 2 emails from StratX confirming
your registration and providing your PAK number
6. Next go to www.stratxsimulations.com, click on SIGN IN at the
top left of the screen, select Participant, and enter your PAK
number when prompted on the next screen, and click
Submit. On the left side of your student homepage you can click
Downloads and it should say Markstrat.6 - Durable Goods
(web), and All Categories in Download category. Select the
Participant Handbook (not the Executive version) to download
in pdf format
7. If you have any difficulty with the registration process, e-mail
Caiyun Liu c-liu@kellogg.northwestern.edu who is the TA for
the course.

8. Log-In

Once you receive your team assignment and password (this will be in
the 2nd class of the quarter), you can log-in.
a. Go to http://login.markstrat.com
b. Enter your PAK number and click on OK
c. Make sure that your industry name and team name are
accurate. Enter your team password, and then click on Access
Your Team

9. Make Decisions
Make sure that you have disabled your browsers pop-up blocker
Only one person from a team can make decisions at a
time, although multiple teammates can view the
interface concurrently

 Check the errors, warnings, and budget boxes at the bottom-
left of the Markstrat interface. You can click on any of these
boxes to get more detailed information
Finalize all your decisions by the due date and time!
