    Yang Ming Shipping (Vietnam) is informing customers that as of July 15, 2017 they will no longer accept quicklime cargo in bulk containers due to environmental regulations from Taiwan. Any bulk quicklime shipments currently at their Haiphong terminal must be shipped out by July 15. Quicklime must now be packed in bags and stuffed into containers for shipment.

    SUBJECT: DO NOT ACCEPT QUICKLIME CARGO IN BULK

    Dear Sirs/ Madams,

    First of all, we sincerely express our thanks to your support so far.


    As the requirement from Taiwan Environment Bureau to protect environment concerns to
    quicklime commodity carried inside container, we hereby would like to inform that:

    From July 15, 2017, we do not accept any quicklime shipment in bulk inside our
    container. This commodity should be packed in bag, then stuff into the container.

    All of the bulk quicklime shipments which were dropped off at our terminal, should be
    shipped out of Haiphong before July 15, 2017.
