Internal Test

1. Upgrade manual
1) Confirm that the module has not rooted. Battery should not lower than 35%.
2) Backup data.
3) Download the upgrade package from the provided link.
4) Put the upgrade package to the Phone Storage root directory. Picture 1
5) Open System Update app, Option menu --> Select package from local --> Select the
upgrade package --> upgrade Picture 2&3&4
6) Waiting for the upgrade successfully.

2. How to catch log

1) Install LogTool.apk and launch to catch log (Pict1)
2) Start to catch log (Pict2)
3) Back to desktop
4) Reproduce the issue (key step, should contain the complete reproduce process of the
issue)
5) Record the point in time when reproducing issue
6) Stop to catch log (Pict3)
7) Back to desktop, access File Manager and send the "mtklog" folder to Gionee team
(Pict4)
PS: * The log catching cycle must include the issue reproducing time.
* Provide the information about software version and issue reproducing time to Gionee
team when send the "mtklog" folder.
3. How to check the software version
Checked in: Settings --> About phone --> Build number --> [SW VERSION]
Format: F103_0203_Vxxxx

4. How to wide data and cache partition

1) Back up data
2) Access Recovery mode by pressing increase volume key & power key at the
same time ( PS: in recovery mode, using increase and decrease volume key to
move up and down, power key to confirm )
3) Wipe data by selecting wipe data/factory reset menu (Pict1)
Wipe cache by selecting wipe cache partition menu(Pict2)
5. How to upgrade in recovery mode
1) Confirm that the module has not rooted.
Battery should not lower than 35%.
Back up data.
2) Download the upgrade package from the provided link.
3) Put the upgrade package to the Phone Storage root directory.
Power off normally.
4) Access Recovery mode by pressing increase volume key & power key at the
same time ( PS: in recovery mode, using increase and decrease volume key to
move up and down, power key to confirm )
5) Wipe data by selecting wipe data/factory reset menu (Pict1)
Wipe cache by selecting wipe cache partition menu(Pict2)
6) Upgrade by selecting apply update from sdcard menu and choose the upgrade
package name XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX.zip which was put in the
root directory in step 3. (Pict3)
7) Waiting until the upgrade finish.

6. Error in upgrade process

If you do not upgrade successfully, please try again by the following methods.
Case1. The upgrade package is incomplete when download in unstable network
-- Please download the upgrade package and upgrade again.

Case2. Do not wipe the data and cache partition.

-- Please wipe data and cache partition and upgrade again. (Reference
question 4 for wipe method)
